Would happily stay again!

Good location for us, the car park (although a bit tight for space at times) was a bonus

Nice apartment , we've booked again !

The apartment is spacious clean and well equipped with a very good secure parking system. The bedroom especially has a huge bed and ample storage. The second bedroom would be very 'cosy' for two more adults. In the afternoon the balcony cools down and it's a great place to sit and watch the sun set on the surrounding mountains. Best of all from our standpoint was the proximity to the lively centre of Stellenbosch with so many cafes and great restaurants. There is also a supermarket just across the road. We like the noise and bustle of being in the town centre by a busy crossroads but this may not suit everone. We are going back next year.

The apartment is up four flights of stairs - we soon got used to it but some people might struggle. Some of the soft furnishings were getting rather tired, a little beyond shabby chic !

Excellent location with Mountain Views!

Perfect location! Really close to everything! Loved the Mountain View’s from the 3rd floor. Everything was provided including a Nespresso coffee machine, washer to do our laundry, etc. we will be back!

Enjoyed the stay in a beautiful apartment and a beautiful area.

Communication with Karen and Salome was great. Nothing an issue. Facilities were good and bathrooms had amenities, which was a lovely touch. Secure parking with lockable garage. Great location.

It’s not really a dislike about the property, more that it was annoyance that the second room was tiny. If you have ever been to Japan, that’s the room size.

Location, location, location

The location was perfect, everywhere was a short walk. The apartment was very spacious and had everything you wanted. Lovely balcony with a view of the mountains and Stellenbosch life. Free brandy was also a lovely touch. Very secure and safe with multiple locking gates and a secure garage. Would highly recommend

Unfortunately which isn't the owners fault, work was being carried out to renew the roof. It wasn't too bad and the guys were friendly

Great location and safe property with VERY secure parking.

Great location with a great view! Walking distance to everything and we felt very safe. We walked around at night time with no issues. There is a Checkers right next door for groceries etc and had very secure parking. Very clean and large rooms. Each room has an ensuite which is a win when travelling in a group. Perfect for short or long stay. Great communication from the hosts.

Only downfall would be the noise from the street at certain times, nothing major but can be loud if using the balcony.

Excellent central location for town. Overall a lovely property! Would stay again

The apartment was centrally located for the town and surrounding vineyards. It had plenty of space and was well equipped with everything you needed. The host checked in with us during our stay which was a nice touch too. Garage facility for the car was an unexpected bonus. We felt safe and secure.

Unfortunately there was a lot of noise from the street and students who passed by on a nighttime and early morning. Fortunately we had come equipped with earplugs which came in very handy. If we were to stay again we’d probably use the back bedroom .

This spotless and spacious self-catering apartment had all the amenities, and is VERY conveniently located; near many restaurants and across the street from a shopping mall. Inverter and batteries made loadshedding a breeze!

The Nespresso machine made great coffees, but a coffee plunger will be great for those travelling with ground coffee.

If you value sleep, stay somewhere else.

The apartment is spacious and mostly well-equipped. The shower is great once you figure out which is the hot tap. The desk in the main bedroom is perfect for working — near a wall socket and facing a window. I also liked that I could walk everywhere from the apartment.

The apartment claims to have sound-proofing. It turned out to be extremely noisy. Traffic noise isn't a problem because it stops at night. But the other residents don't stop at night. The students in the flat below were partying Tuesday evening. They eventually went out but then returned after midnight and kept me awake until after 02h00 in the morning. The apartment also had almost no backup lights for load-shedding — fortunately I had brought my own.

The property was situated within the main Stellenbosch area. Perfect for getting out and about within the city. The apartment was large and beautifully appointed making self catering easy. Would definitely stay there again.

We were uncertain where to park but fortunately Simone came out to direct us to the parking and our apartment. Did need to go up two flights of stairs with our luggage.

Superb

The Apartment was very spacious and well equipped. There even were two bathrooms, such a nice luxury! Salome welcomed us, so the check in went easy. The Appartement owner, helped us organize an airport pick up and our early check in, so we felt very well taken care of, and our arrival to South Africa went very smoothly and stressfree.

There isn't much to complain here. The master bedroom didn't have a shower, only bathtub without a showerhead. This was a bit unconvienient for quick showers.

Very central location, easy to walk to shops and restaurants. Parking in Stellenbosch is difficult so the central location was fabulous. Oldish block of flats but interior decor was lovely and stylish. A very pleasant stay indeed!

Good overall, some negatives

It's important to be honest in reviews - otherwise, what use are they? What was good about this stay: good communication, flexible host (early check-in). Spacious apartment with plenty of natural light. Large and comfortable bed (only 2 of us in the 2-bed apartment), plenty of hot water and good shower pressure. Good towels and bedding. Efficient air-conditioning in all rooms. Good amenities - coffee machine, dishwasher, etc. Fast and reliable wifi. Nice outlook to hills, though over a busy road and car park. Secure private parking (essential in Stellenbosch). Hurricane lamps provided for load-shedding blackouts.

Apartment is rather tired in terms of decor and maintenance in some areaa. Shower room and other areas in need of a refresh. Cleaning could be more thorough - balcony and balcony furniture not at all clean, so we did that ourselves. It is above a busy road and there was considerable noise through the aluminium-framed windows. Saggy sofa and chairs. The major negative for us was waking 3 mornings out of 5 to find a dead rat in the courtyard, plus one live rat. I accept that anywhere can have a rat infestation, and clearly this was being addressed and the rat poison traps were doing their job, but it was not the experience one hoped for in entering or exiting the building.
