About this apartment rental
When you arrive, you are greeted with an icy cold margarita, fresh from the staff. You will love the beautiful views from your luxury studio at the Wyndham Margaritaville Resort. Just opened in 2015, everything is new and fresh. It is a beautiful resort with so many fun activities, you don't need to leave the resort for a great vacation.
Each studio has a king bed, partial kitchen, a margarita machine, and wifi. It is so much more comfortable than a hotel. The unit is approximately 324 sq ft, Although there is no washer and dryer in the unit, there are laundry facilities just a few steps away.
There is a huge pool plus a huge hot tub, plenty of comfy chairs, and some hammocks sprinkled around the pool. The "5 O'Clock Somewhere" Bar is right next to the pool with a great view of the bay's gorgeous turquoise water.
Because of Wyndham's reservation requirements, not all check in/check out dates are available. Although we try to keep the calendar updated daily, the calendar is NOT always ACCURATE.
THE ISLAND OF ST THOMAS HAS NOW PASSED A TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY TAX (HOTEL TAX) FOR ANY GUESTS STAYING ON THE ISLAND. IT IS $25/NIGHT PER UNIT (not per guest). THIS IS COLLECTED BY THE RESORT AND PAID DIRECTLY TO THE GOVERNMENT. IT IS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL AMOUNT.

CANCELLATION INSURANCE is available for an additional fee of $150. This is purchased directly through me and will allow cancellation up to the day of check in for any reason with 100% refund. This must be purchased 16 days or more before check in. It is not available after that time.

Overall this property is very well maintained, the pools/grounds/rooms were all quite nice, the staff was lovely. The beach, however, is completely unusable, so do not choose Margaritaville if you want an onsite beach. Coki Beach which is where you can easily walk/get shuttled to, was not our cup of tea (beach bars with competing/blasting music, crowded, lots of MJ smoking). We had a car and luckily could drive to other places. The happy hour is great, onsite restaurant quite good with decent prices/portions. Also, hot tub has been gone for 2 years (is now filled with plants) so that was another disappointment since its still listed/pictured on the website and is a great evening option. All in all, good for the price, lots of positives, but if the beach is a deal breaker, probably not the best choice.

The space was nice but what they don’t tell you is the beach is unusable right at margaritaville, there is so much seaweed you have to walk to another beach nearby. The smell from the seaweed when at the lower pool and lobby areas is so bad, you have to breathe in from your mouth. If you do stay here ask for buildings by 9 because the smell is less. We had an issue with hot water one entire day, the host was unresponsive and so was the concierge that was supposed to help us. We had to walk down to the front desk to get answers they couldn’t give us, even when we spoke withthe manager he didn’t have an update on how long. When there were issues, they were unresponsive. The host is responsive up until the day we checked in then nothing from her the rest of stay. She finally surfaced about the hot water problem after we had already checked out, days after I sent the message. We also got locked out of our room one morning due to a battery issue on the lock, when we walked to the building to ask,they put in a request but couldn’t give us a time when they could get it fixed. I mind you we had a flight out in 2 hours and had no way to get into our room where our luggage was sitting. If you get the building by the top pool be aware you will have to walk a million steps or tip a golf cart driver each time you want to go back to your room. Not sure I would stay here again, the beach smell here and the unusable beach makes this location not the greatest, I would opt for another place.
