It was our first time staying at an APA hotel and we enjoyed it thoroughly. We loved the location and its walkable proximity to some major areas in Osaka like Dotonburi, Kuromon Market, Doguyasuji Shopping Street and the Namba Metro and JR stations. It served as a great hub to allow us to go to Osaka Castle, the Osaka Aquarium and the Harukas 300 building. What the kids loved especially is that there was a Lawson directly across the hotel where they could get their breakfast and chicken nuggets any time! Plenty of shopping (Donki!) and dining options nearby (Okonomiyaki, Dearbros Omuice and Takoyaki!)
We were able to secure two pairs of connecting rooms in order to keep our party of 7 all together. The front desk staff was helpful in every aspect from the check-in kiosk (for those that used CC), to forwarding our luggage, to the check-out process and storing our luggage. The rooms themselves were very compact and functional in all aspects. There were plenty of washroom amenities available. a mini fridge, a kettle and a comfortable firm beds. We loved using the yukatas and the slippers and having the daily towel and garbage service. The Wifi was good and even the in-room TV home page gave information we found quite useful as well when planning our day.
Beware that if you have any large luggage on hand, you will have trouble laying it down to open it as space is at a premium in these rooms. There is also a step that you need to be aware of to the toilet which one might forget in the middle of the night. The lobby and elevators can get very busy on check in/out times so one has to manage their time accordingly. The middle of the hotel is open-air so it can get quite warm and humid once you step out of your room.

Walking distance from Namba Station, this is one of the most central places you can stay in Osaka. With Dontonburi and Namba in walking distance, you can get anywhere around Osaka with ease.
The rooms are the standard APA Hotel experience which might not be for everyone, function over everything else.
