It was a lovely Penthouse apartment.
Great location close to the station and shopping.
Felt safe
Apartment had everything you would need for a short of extended stay.
Nice touch to leave milk, cereal, biscuits and tea and coffee!!
could have brought somebody with me to enjoy the apartment and area!!

The location and staff not on site were helpful.
When I arrived there was a man I assumed was a worker sat on the floor in the hallway.
It turned out this was the security man- highly unprofessional!
Guests have to give ID even if they’re popping in. I was a single professional female traveler who felt very uncomfortable. A lot of workers staying and the security man didn’t help with my anxiousness !
The car park was very awkward full of work vans making it impossible for me to get back not my allocated space after I had popped to the shop.
I ended up booking another place to stay instead!

Check in process was simple. However, a deposit was required after booking prior to obtaining the door code / key which took a bit of doing as I didn't receive the email and had to request it be resent.
The washing machine broke down the first day of our stay and had to be repaired the next day. They tried their best though to resolve the issue.

It was clean, spacious and good location for Reading especially going to the festival. The apartment has everything you need.
Smell of the bathroom….it has a stale smell throughout the stay
8.0 / 10.0
Easy access to car park, very tidy, super clean, nice facilities and lovely welcome pack and notes on arrival, central and east walk to festival… good route. Cooling fans were vital and provided.
Washing machine, dish washer, hair dryer, blackout blinds. Great communications. Security on door.
Battery ran out in fire alarm at 6:15 am and although woke me, was sorted within an hour… brilliant host/support on a Sunday morning so early.
Fast WiFi, lovely soap/shampoo/shower gel, perfect utensils and utilities so good for a long stay as well as a short city break and even a business stay. Deliveroo found us fast and easy ( we waited outside for fast hand over) as you’re near so many restaurants but cooking facilities are amazing in the flat. 20 minute wark to river/festival site.
Warm apartment, sun on all day, windows couldn’t be opened as it’s was noisy… the flat was front of building on very main road. Was noisy even with windows closed but big fans are provided.
Just be aware it’s on a main city access route.
Won’t put us off booking again as wasn’t a huge impact on our stay.

This was the first time I'd booked a terrible hotel on booking.com. The room hadn't been cleaned at all, and the sheets bore traces and stains from the previous guest. When I lifted the covers and noticed the wrinkles, I immediately contacted the hotel customer service, but they read my message and remained silent. My camera recorded the time of my arrival. I also noticed the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, and there were black hairs left by other guests near the sink, toothpaste residue in the sewer, which I also took photos of as evidence. Even more frightening was the fact that at 3 a.m., the neighbors were having a party on their balcony. Their policies only apply to certain groups of people. I also have to mention a distinguished woman who, upon learning my bank card was from a non-EU country, hurled racist comments at me, insulted me for the inconvenience it caused her, and made me wait on the street outside my room, acting like a thug and threatening to cancel my reservation until I provided her my bank card number and security code over the phone. They charge a £40 cleaning fee but expect guests to clean their own rooms. They even explicitly require guests to dispose of any unwanted items in the bin, leaving empty Coke bottles on the dining table, which I had no right to. I've already filed a formal complaint with the website. This is the only hotel I've stayed in Reading that was a complete disaster out of the four. I recommend Pentahotel Reading and Victoria House; their staff appear well-educated and qualified.

Nicely furnished
The bathrooms smelt strongly of sewage and poo.
The aircon was broken and the apartment was unbearably hot
The area was very scary and rough and unsuitable for a family we did not feel safe
The cost was extortionate for the area and the lack of facilities such as no aircon and one bathroom smelt so bad it was unusable.

Quiet residential area, nice large flat. Parking at rear (though limited spaces) is a big advantage in Reading.
Would definitely stay here again.
there's no teapot! There should always be a teapot.

Noisy road and ability to get good airflow through unit

The apartment was spotless with modern decor. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.
Tea, coffee and milk were available when we arrived late. Just what we needed.
I wasn't aware of the 200stg deposit that had to be paid in advance of arrival.
I haven't received my refund yet.

It was pretty central, spacious and clean. Appreciated the cold water, milk and cereals/biscuits. Parking was a plus point too and a fan in the bedroom ad the flat was hot.
Wifi only worked for a few hours then was impossible to join to. Although the parking was handy we were told could not book for the few hours before check in, as we arrived early, so we booked parking elsewhere, then they changed their mind on the day. The car park was empty too when we arrived! There was also no plugs near the mirror in the bedroom to dry your hair.

Great apartment with ample space, very good location, and close to central Reading. All facilities in the apartment with parking.
There was hardly any phone call to check if we arrived at the property or if we needed any support during our stay, but on the day of check-out, I got a call 20 minutes past the scheduled check-out time to inform me that I would be charged if I delayed any further. It's very strange that check-in time is 4:00 PM and checkout time is 10 AM?!?!! Do u need 6 hours to change linen and clean a small apartment?. Anyways, I have charged 20 quid for the delay in checking out and also another 20 for small stains which the cleaners are meant to clean (that's what they're paid for). It's understandable if we are penalised for a stain that stays permanently, but for small stains, they charged us. But because the apartment was good, I didn't mind these charges.

A lovely, clean and well furnished apartment in a very good location. The touches, milk in the fridge, biscuits, tea, coffee, were very appreciated. The information pack was excellent and helpful.

The apartment was extremely clean , very comfortable , modern and very well kept , the extra little bits were very cute ( tea, coffee sugar, biscuits, sweets )
The staff was very efficient and friendly
Location was great just a 10 minute walk to the town centre
Would definitely stay again
Worth every single penny
If I was to moan about anything it would be the car park spaces was limited and a tight squeeze and maybe you shouldn't have to pay extra to park your car in their private car park , it should come in with the price , having said this we didn't mind paying the 10 pound per night as the accommodation was so perfect

Property was cosy and well furnished with kitchen amenities I needed to cook a big meal, living room was a very comfortable space. Staff were lovely to deal with.
Bedding wasn't great, and "small print" charges were a bit unexpected when really they should be presented before renting. Parking an additional cost. Bit noisy from the road at night.
8.0 / 10.0
Very easy to get the keys, and the information was very clear and provided in good time.
The keys for the parking were in the lockbox, so it was very clear on how to park.
The pre-charge deposit, whilst I understand why, it was not very clear and I had difficulties clarifying with the team.
The money was quick to be requested, but I thought it was slow to be returned.

Good sized two bed apartment. There is plenty of space to roam around. Fridge, cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, utensils, crockery, iron, ironing board, everything was available. 5 minutes walk to Reading West train stations. Many desi restaurants close by. Oracle Mall is just a 10-minute walk.
Management needs to regularly check and repair things. Like cooker only one burner was in working condition, remaining 3 are not working. The dishwasher is not cleaning the dishes properly. Few window blinds are stuck and not working. Iron is burned out and needs to be replaced. The cloth of the ironing board is to be replaced. You also have to remind the ptopery management multiple times to refund the deposit. There is no free parking and you have to pay £10 per day. You have to vacate the accommodation before 10AM. Otherwise, pay a fine of £10 per hour.

I liked how easy it was to check in and out, parking wasn’t available for us but the parking was literally across the street and with the 20% discount made it reasonable and it’s a very secure multi-storey.
The added touches of milk, cereal, tea, coffee, sugar, toiletries and towels was a lovely touch!
The apartment is decorated lovely and really felt like home away from home!
We had a lovely stay here and will be returning!

Location was great, but very noisy on the main road. Views of the tyre garage not the best, but it is a central location. the beds were ok, but the pillows were not great. There were fans in the bedrooms but the one in the master bedroom had a European plug, so was useless for us. Overall, I would recommend.
The sofa was disappointing as it had a throw over badly worn cushions, it needs a change!
The apartment met our requirements but the serving crockery was limited.

Beds are comfortable, top floor view is better. Parking is available at GBP10/day. Tempature control is good with manual adjustment to your desired temperature.
There are desks in both bedrooms but no chairs.
Deposit is needed and a MUST. I spent over 30 minutes on settling the deposit cause the link they sent to me does not work. Travellers, please note.
Rooms for improvement for the instructions, better with pic to show where shall we put the rubbish to. While check out, the rooms next to me and myself spent time to figure how to get to the rubbish collection point. We luckily met the cleaner and she is so nice to direct us to and collect the keys from us.
Quite noisy at night while cars passed by. Not sure if the window is double glazed
