Ribno Alpine Glamping

Very authentic and well designed. Great to see the addition of a toilet in the lodge ! Appreciated the convenience of the pool and onsite electric car charger. Hiring bikes was also a great way to spend half a day.

Had to drive everywhere locally to make the most of the time spent in Bled, traffic and offsite parking in the town centre were a challenge.

So freaking quaint and beautiful. Peaceful and luxurious while feeling rustic. “Hot tub” right outside your room with glorious summer night vibes. Outdoor dinner felt like a community. Pool was perfect for the heat.

Very unique and charming setting with the “tree”-houses surround by green with the hot tub.

I do think it’s too expensive for what you get with 8m2. People are also raving about the food, but personally I wasn’t so impressed. The breakfast had hardly any fruit and many items didn’t feel so fresh. The location is only a short drive away, but parking is very difficult during the day, so if I had to pick again, I would choose a location with walking or better biking distance.

The buffet restaurant.

There is a few things to know before booking. There is no glamping in the forest, you are in an open space with the forest behind the house and therefore not visible, (except for 3 houses overlooking the valley) but you will enjoy the view of the hotel, the parking and the streets below that lead to the external bathrooms , with a continuous coming and going of people. There are no bathrobes (which is really absurd for the asking price) but two very small shower towels that make you freeze shoulders and legs when you get out of the heated tub! And even the shower towels are only 1 per person so wet those and you can no longer bathe. I understand that the house is small I expected at least a kettle, two tea bags and two coffee bags, which are not there and you have to go and get them from the hotel (and pay extra for this), is not great if you are in the tub. There is no delivery service from the restaurant to the houses (50 meters) so even if you are enjoying the bathroom you have to get up, get dressed and go to the restaurant that offers a buffet dinner (very good) with 18 euros, but I would have preferred to pay 30 each and not having to go out. Also the cleaning that must be easy (there isn t anything inside the house only a table, and the bathroom is really simple to clean) where not at the level, the shower glass cleaned with glass cleaner is not my idea of sanitized place! A hot tub is not enough to be GLAMPING ... And you have a lot to learn about hospitality. (I've been doing this job (cleaning and hospitality)for 20 years)
