We discovered this place by chance. It turned out to be quite an adventure to get there, to stay there and to discover the little hamlet of Nirasca. Edwin, the property manager was very friendly and catered to all our needs with regard to discovering the surrounding villages, to eating out (he made all our dinner reservations) and in telling us about the history and life in that part of Liguria. We were touched and impressed by his decision to live in this remote area of Italy coming originally from a major Northern Italian city. The house itself is restored and remodeled with much love for details. La Chouette is a lovely place within a quiet and calm surrounding. We love to go back one day and stay with Edwin at La Chouette again.
