Holidays in the Village, for those who seek an experience with nature, Fiães, a very quiet village, 5 km from the city of Trancoso, near the Serra da Estrela, Guarda district, composed mostly of stone houses linked to agricultural activity , pleasant place to rest and to enjoy nature. It is the ideal place for a well-deserved rest or a weekend getaway where landscapes alone provide relaxing moments. It is available for all year round (Carnival, Easter, Mini-Holidays, Weekends, Summer holidays, you can visit historical sites of the area (Trancoso, Celorico da Beira, Senhora da Lapa, Foz Côa, Almeida, Pinhel, Serra da Estrela ...) and savor the gastronomy of the region.

We were looking for an inexpensive place to spend 2 nights. We would only sleeping there so we weren't looking for anything extravagant just a clean place to rest our heads.
Communication with the host was easy beforehand and she gave us her number to call when we got there however we didnt have any reception in the area and had to drive out of town to be able to call her. She greeted us in the street and had berries from her garden for us on the kitchen table.
The space was small had everything we needed. Traveling with kids (one preschooler and an infant) we needed a fridge and shower as well as 2 beds. She helped us set up the sofa bed on the 2nd floor for our preschooler so that she could sleep beside us.
The rooms were clean. There was a pretty room up on the 3rd floor along with a bathroom (toilet and sink) that we didnt use.
The 2nd floor had a double bed and the sofa bed we used. The bed was comfy enough and the host left us plenty of bedding if needed.
The main floor had a small kitchen with a table / chairs, fridge, sink and hot plate, microwave, sofa and tiny washroom with a toilet, sink and shower.
This is a small place in a VERY small village in rural Portugal. In the morning i was able to watch sheep walk past the kitchen window and also heard all the locals chattering as they walked by wondering who waa staying at this house.
Overall it was what we needed and what we expected and we were pleased with our visit.
