We booked it as our flights had been cancelled so do not really know what was available in the locality. Though the spier wine farm only a few miles away is a definite plues

My partner & I had an amazing stay at Frieden-Hof. The property is so peaceful & the host is honestly so amazing. We’ll definitely be coming back ✨

Spacious room, ability to cook meals if needed. Room has a fan, fridge and microwave, also provided with milk which was great! The filter coffee press we appreciated. Mosquito nets are present but can’t be held together. Nice shower also.
At night, part of the path to the room has no light. The pool is uninviting, the paint is coming off the bottom and water is murky. Door to room doesn’t lock securely, it’s loose once locked. The mirror needs to be hung higher as you have to bend to see in it to dry your hair. No quick check out/ key drop off.

There was no breakfast. Location a bit remote.
there wasn't an air conditioner and they didn't have a generator for loadshedding. It was very hot without a fan. Lots of mosquitos.
