We had a wonderful 14-night stay and would happily return. Although the property is not directly on the beach, we actually found this to be one of its greatest advantages. A car is highly recommended (and, in our opinion, almost essential in this area), but in return you get absolute peace and quiet, fresh air, spectacular sunsets over the sea, and a beautifully maintained estate. The beaches, supermarkets and restaurants are only a short drive away (about 5–10 -15’). One practical recommendation for future guests: the apartment is very well equipped with bath towels, but beach towels are not provided. As many local beaches do not rent towels, it is worth bringing your own or purchasing them early in your stay. It is only a small planning tip rather than a drawback, but future guests may find it useful. The gardens are exceptional and clearly cared for every day. Birds singing in the morning, mature trees, flowers and immaculate landscaping create a very relaxing atmosphere. The property feels very safe, with a gated entrance and controlled access. There was no safe inside the apartment, but we never felt uncomfortable leaving our belongings there. Parking is another great feature. It is conveniently located just across the road, so cars and traffic noise never disturb the peaceful atmosphere, while loading and unloading luggage right by the apartment is easy. The apartment itself was spotless and smelled fresh. We especially appreciated the quality of the traditional wooden doors, windows and shutters – they are beautiful, perfectly maintained and work flawlessly. Even the antique furniture was in excellent condition and completely free of the musty smell that vintage furniture sometimes has. The host and staff were outstanding. Communication was almost immediate throughout our stay. We received excellent local recommendations and practical advice, yet at the same time our privacy was always respected.

Very little to mention. A safe inside the apartment would be a useful addition for guests who prefer storing valuables securely, although we personally felt the property was very safe because of the gated access. The only other point is that a car is strongly recommended. Walking to shops or beaches is possible only for those who enjoy longer walks in hot weather. For most guests, having a car will make the stay much more convenient.

La struttura è un bellissimo casale ristrutturato in autentico stile cilentano, con tutte le comodità di una casa moderna. La visuale sul mare e sulle colline è eccezionale. La posizione è comoda, leggermente più ventilata rispetto al lungomare, che è raggiungibile in auto in pochi minuti, ma volendo anche a piedi è fattibile per chi ama passeggiare. La zona Lago è decisamente più tranquilla di Santa Maria, si trova agilmente parcheggio e c'è ampia scelta tra lidi e spiaggia libera. Il centro di Santa Maria è raggiungibile in meno di 10 minuti.

La struttura è un casale pieno di fascino, con muri esterni in mattoni a vista e imposte di legno scuro, immerso in un bel giardino curato: proprio come ci si potrebbe immaginare un antico casale! La padrona di casa è molto carina e disponibile; si è sempre assicurata che non ci mancasse nulla e che fossimo comodi. Gli appartamenti sono ampi, puliti e ben tenuti, forniti di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole (wi-fi, aria condizionata, lavatrice e addirittura lavastoviglie). Fantastica idea la macchinetta a cialde messa a disposizione degli ospiti: zero sprechi e zero sporco (le cialde sono compostabili e sono di facile reperibilità in ogni supermercato). La posizione è super strategica per chi viaggia in auto: supermercati a 5 minuti di macchina, così come le spiagge (zona Lago). Proprio per questo è a disposizione una zona per posteggiare appena fuori dal cancello del casale. Pompei dista circa un'ora e mezza (se si proviene da Napoli conviene visitarla arrivando), più vicina la splendida Paestum (mezz'ora). Naturalmente vicinissimo il centro di Castellabate, un piccolo gioiellino a poco sul mare.

Beautiful location. Stunning grounds on the property. Exterior was so charming.
