We arrived to Sophienhof on our first night in Namibia, fresh from the airport and were able jump directly into a jeep about to leave for the evening game drive. What a magical experience! We saw so many animals, the property was gorgeous, our guide was so friendly… and in the evening the family-style meal was served with so much warmth. Staying at Sophienhof was the best start to our trip!

Staff were friendly and open. We thoroughly enjoyed our nights stay. Would have loved to have gone on the game drive, but after the bad roads we had just been on, it was sadly a No.

This location is a great place to relax and enjoy nature. It features a game reserve where lucky visitors may have the opportunity to see white rhinos and a hippo. The rooms are large and have all the necessary amenities.
Breakfast and dinner are served outside, which can be quite chilly in the winter. Although the staff was able to quickly serve us breakfast when we requested it, the early start we had planned did not go as planned.
