The location was fantastic. My family stayed in the Big 4 next door so it was great to be so close to them. The water is right across the road, perfect for paddle boarding or having a picnic.
The property accommodated my family perfectly. Having the laundry facilities were an added bonus that allowed me to go home with no washing.
The chalet
Looks exactly like the pictures on the website so we knew what we were paying for.
The bugs were horrendous. I get being next to the river that there would be some but this was next level, the toilet and bathroom were covered in bugs at night. The bugs were our biggest issue, they were on all surfaces, the shelf where the glasses are kept, the cooktop etc. we couldn’t even sit outside late afternoon because of this.
The property is dated, the bed was very uncomfortable.

i liked the serenity and proximity to the beach- A tiny bit away from the main strip in town which I preferred. The owner left us rackets and balls and a frisbee for the kids to play.
only thing is the inside info sheet stated there was a playground- but it was a large grassy area, not a playground. It was beautiful and lots of space for kids to run around on

Well done to provide a washing machine. Aircon worked well and hot water plentiful. Jane, the manager, and the owners tried their best to assist with the tech issues.
Initially poor tech connections but after a few days of fiddling it worked. Kitchen facilities and equipment inadequate ( ie 3 bowls for 4 people, 1 saucepan etc). Not value for money and cost of accommodation taken almost a month before stay.
