Had to wait a few minutes to check as no staff were free at the reception desk.

This hotel had very good AC in the room I was in. It was very clean and could have easily been cleaned every day if I’d asked for it (I don’t always need that). The TV was was great and I was easily able to hook up my laptop. This is not always easy even in 5-star places I’ve been in. The bathroom was fine and functional. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic for Barking Tube station, and it's about 40 minutes to King's Cross from there.

Ok - some people like a soft mattress, I’m afraid I don’t. My room had quite a soft bed, so not my thing, but I still slept in it. The furniture definitely needs an update. One thing is clear: the hotel may have a contact number, but it is my impression it is only rarely answered. If you need to adjust your booking (eg arrival time, extension etc), I recommend you do that through Booking.com. They are quite up front about the late night bar and disco attached to the hotel. The noise level is noticeable but not too bad in the room I had. However, if you get one of the rooms above this area, it would be quite loud. The hotel is functional, and not at all a romantic retreat in my personal view, but I did see a couple there who seemed quite happy with what the hotel offered.
