Kits Cottage

As has been said before for this property the view over Hythe is spectacular from the front of the house. There is a small patio with table and umbrella (if needed) where you can sit and view the church and beyond. The rooms are comfortable with hanging space available and adequate storage for a short stay. The Kitchen is very well equipped with all you would need to cook some meals, make drinks etc. The high street with take aways and very good restaurants is about 1/3 mile away down the steep hill. The local sights and beach are a bit further. There is so much to do around Hythe. We were able to visit Lympne Castle and venture along the south coast beyond Folkestone (up to the Battle of Britain memorial which is worth a trip) during our stay. We did not use the rear garden but it is laid out up the hill with a small seating area overlooking the house and I believe there is a road at the top where there is further parking if needed. We were lucky enough on the first day to get parked out the front but subsequent days we had to park about 100 yards up the road. A smaller car and sometimes patience is required for driving around near the house. The welcome pack was a very nice touch as was the available chromecast to the TV and the bluetooth speaker. I normally have to set up my own at AirBNB's but this made it so much easier. There was a book containing information on more or less every device that could be used. The heating was pre-programmed and suited our stay but there was information on how to override (boost) the programme should we have needed it. There was also a small stove in the front room with a few briquettes for burning. Almost a shame the weather was so good during our stay.

I cant think of much that wasn't up to our expectations. I could mention the steepness of everything but we knew before we went.

The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and the view was incredible. We were delighted to have such a base for our three days in Hythe.

Wunderschöne Aussicht, sehr persönlich und liebevoll eingerichtetes Ferienhaus. Sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Sehr bequeme Betten.

Kleinigkeit: der hintere Garten dürfte etwas gepflegter sein, ein neuer Gartentisch wäre toll.

The property is in an amazing location beautiful views.

The neighbors are a-bit too close - IT is their home & they are very pleasant people indeed , but the front garden is practically shared. Both sides of course like to enjoy the garden & views , You can hear each other’s conversation- In the front & back. So there is not a great deal or privacy to either side.
