Home away from home

We stayed in a really nice apartment with super cosy atmosphere. It was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The owners did everything for us to feel comfortable and solved in no time a little problem we had. South Limburg is my favourite place from the country, we keep coming back! Thank you for having us and being part of a nice Christmas experience!

A good effort to create a cosy and friendly environment - Good hiking paths in the area.

Interesting organization of the old barn, creating a nice overall atmosphere. More attention should be paid to the available facilities (e.g. oven area), their functionality, cleanliness and safety. No comments about breakfast as it was not available due to the Covid measures.

We found the extra charging for linnen and towels extreme and non-justifiable. First time we came across such a situation. The suit was not heated when we arrived and it took the whole evening to become reasonably comfortable. The heating system was not working as expected and we had to reset it every 20 minutes or so.

As per the question suggested: there was no breakfast. I liked the location and relative quietness even though the place has more apartments. I also like their decoration and things available for guests.

It's a huge property so it makes sense that not every apartment is displayed on the website.

Cosy little getaway

Arriving at a property build in 1321 give a certain vibe you don’t come across too often. In and around the accommodation are enough activities available to undertake. Staff was very friendly and the accommodation itself is suitable for families, couples and groups of friends. Our appartment was inside “het hofje” which gave it a certain vibe. The appartment we had was a little bit outdated but had everything you need for the duration of your stay.

Dat op voorhand niet staat vermeld dat de bedlinnen en handdoeken niet bij de prijs zijn inbegrepen. En dat stuitte bij mij wat weerstand op. Wanneer dat beter was gecommuniceerd was het waarschijnlijk prima geweest.

Sehr ruhig gelegene Ferienwohnung

Der Gillishof hat ein sehr schönes Ambiente und ist wunderbar ruhig gelegen. Von dort kann man super Spaziergänge oder Fahrradtouren machen. Besonders gefallen haben uns das neu renovierte, sehr stilvolle Badezimmer und die Toilette. Das Wohnzimmer mit dem sehr bequemen Sofa lädt zum Verweilen ein, auch wenn der Fernseher ein wenig zu klein ist.

Bei unserem Aufenthalt im Februar war das Heizungskonzept leider nicht wirklich überzeugend, es wäre vorteilhaft gewesen, die Ferienwohnung vorzuheizen bevor Gäste kommen und die automatische Absenkautomatik im Winter abzuschalten. Die Gastgeber haben uns aber mit einem Infrarotpanel ausgeholfen. Die Küche ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen und dem Ambiente der Ferienwohnung und dem Preis nicht ganz angemessen. Das fanden wir sehr schade. Wir hätten uns auch gewünscht, dass die Betten bezogen sind, wenn wir anreisen, das wirkt für den Gast sicher einladender. Aber Alles in Allem hatten wir einen sehr ruhigen, entspannten Aufenthalt.

De matrassen zijn echt toe aan vervanging. De tweepersoonsbed had gewoon 2 gaten erin.

Prima, kon wat verzorgder

Schoon, locatie

Ontbrak een en ander aan inventaris, op Booking stond dat er een broodrooster en oven was, die waren er niet. Verder ontbrak er redelijk wat servies en bestek, bij navraag bleek dat teveel in de andere accommodaties te liggen omdat het vaak voor een groep verhuurd wordt. Zou fijn zijn dat het bij schoonmaak gecontroleerd werd, zodat je er niet ter plekke achteraan hoeft. Het werd trouwens wel opgelost, maar bij het zoveelste bord wat miste, hebben we het maar gelaten, we waren er ook maar 2 nachten en maar 1x gekookt. Verder was het erg schoon, met fijne douche en bedden. Wel redelijk prijzen prijzig, wij hebben met 4 ruim 425 betaald voor 2 dagen, voor dat geld moet je je eigen lakens en handdoeken meenemen. Dat is overigens wel te huur.

Mooie locatie om Heuvelland te ontdekken!

Prachtige hoeve, met mooie binnenplaats en tuinen en faciliteiten zoals tafeltennis tafel. Met mooi weer heerlijk om te ontspannen! En heel vriendelijke en gastvrije hosts.

Ik had gedacht dat ons zitje buiten meer prive zou zijn. Maar anderzijds geeft dat ook makkelijk toegang tot even praten met andere gasten. De badkamer is wel wat krap, vooral om er binnen te komen. Verder is de badkamer netjes.

Eigenlijk beviel niets. Beheerdes aardig.

Eigenlijk alles, foto's geven een verkeerd beeld. Erg kleine kamer, douche in de kamer, niet gescheiden van de rest. Grote spiegel aan de achterkant van het bed, over de volle breedte met een roze ,eventueel, verlichte rand. Gaf de indruk dat deze kamer ook voor andere doeleinden kon worden gebruikt. Wc bril die niet overeind bleef staan (klein dingetje maar toch). In de avond rumoerig wat na eigen interventie om 0.45u tot een einde kwam. Beheerder nergens te vinden.

Vraiment génial

L'accueil été top, on est arrivée plus tôt et on a pu avoir les clés plus tôt. Au moindre problème la femme de l'accueil étaient à notre disposition. Et l'appartement était vraiment magnifique, propre. On réservera à nouveau là bas si on doit faire un autre séjour aux alentours d'Heerlen

Bijkomen in Bocholtz

Ruim appartement, ook veel buitenruimte. Prachtig gelegen, goed onderhouden. Appartement voorzien van alle gemakken. Centrale ligging in Zuid limburg. 20-25 minuten naar Gulpen of Valenburg. Winkels en restaurants in Bocheltz en Simpelveld vlakbij. We werden vriendelijk welkom geheten en geïnformeerd over de historie van het gebouw en gastronomische mogelijkheden in de omgeving. Erg genoten! Staat op de shortlist voor een herhaalbezoek!!

Sfeervol, authentiek, ruim, schoon, extra faciliteiten zoals een gezellige coffee corner, binnenplaats, grote speeltuin, supermarkt op loopafstand. Ook lag er een boek over de geschiedenis van deze middeleeuwse hoeve voor de geïnteresseerden.

De ligging en sfeer. Klein zitje op kamer met koffiefaciliteitwen, beetje servies en klein koelkastje.

Erg klein donker kamertje de petit chambre. Aan de prijs voor wat je krijgt. Tv arm niet goed draaibaar. Koffiecorner leuk idee maar bonenmachine was niet aan de praat te krijgen.
