Villa Mariuccia Capri

The host was easy to reach and very helpful. The location was amazing and the room was so clean.

It was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. The villa is perfectly located on Capri’s most beautiful and vibrant street, leading directly to a stunning beach. Despite its central location, it is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views all around. Staying here made us feel like true locals.

The location is premier, offering spectacular vistas right from the comfort of your room. With ample living space and a private terrace, the villa provides every luxury imaginable. What truly made the stay special was the staff—their hospitality was both warm and incredibly prompt, attending to every detail quickly.

Overall, I feel that a slight upgrade to the amenities would further enhance the sense of luxury and comfort. For instance, in addition to a larger TV in the main room, having Netflix access would have been ideal. I also would have appreciated higher-quality, hotel-standard towels.

the view opposite the hotel was stunning and the walk back to the main square was easy.

no pool, old fashioned decor. very much in need of a refurbishment. they’ve painted the old bathroom tiles which look awful, the sanitary ware is old (I’m a property developer by profession and this place is needs stripping back and starting over). the windows and doors were difficult to open. The main doors were very difficult to close and the side lights had cracked glass on both sides (probably from other people slamming the doors trying to close them)… the kitchen was functional but again I would skip it and refit something modern and fit for ‘a luxury break.’ if you want to sit by a pool there are a few nearby hotels but they charge between €25 and €30 each (there were 4 of us so this quickly becomes expensive especially if you only w at to use the pool for a few hours). The hotel manager lady suggested we go to the beach instead…. €35 to €40 for a sun bed there and wait for it… that doesn’t include an umbrella which is another €8 to €12 depending on the beach. Not that we go on holiday to watch TV but if you wanted to grab the News Etc the only channels they have are Italian (clearly don’t want to pay for international channels for their guests)… again, just a small thing but I think it’s poor. we were given 2 pods to make coffee (for a 3 day stay)…. if we wanted more we could buy them? really…. after spending the best part of £1000 you can’t provide 1 coffee per person per day (in a sachet for example?!) all in all, we loved Capri but wouldn’t recommend the hotel at all.
