Location great - out of busy Capri so quieter, but only 5-10mins walk into central Capri and restaurants etc.
If the hedge was cut shorter above the seat on raised private patio garden from ground floor apartment - we would have been able to see the sea view (very pretty) from patio chairs without having to stand, or sit on the wall.
The beach at Faraglioni rocks was beautiful but only option was to use beach club which was expensive. Wouldn’t have done this daily but ok for one off experience. Marina Piccola beach more popular and more of a beach. Can walk down and visit Augustus Gardens on way, then onto Marina Piccola by via Krupp, and then catch regular bus back up to Capri.

the view opposite the hotel was stunning and the walk back to the main square was easy.
no pool, old fashioned decor. very much in need of a refurbishment. they’ve painted the old bathroom tiles which look awful, the sanitary ware is old (I’m a property developer by profession and this place is needs stripping back and starting over). the windows and doors were difficult to open. The main doors were very difficult to close and the side lights had cracked glass on both sides (probably from other people slamming the doors trying to close them)… the kitchen was functional but again I would skip it and refit something modern and fit for ‘a luxury break.’
if you want to sit by a pool there are a few nearby hotels but they charge between €25 and €30 each (there were 4 of us so this quickly becomes expensive especially if you only w at to use the pool for a few hours). The hotel manager lady suggested we go to the beach instead…. €35 to €40 for a sun bed there and wait for it… that doesn’t include an umbrella which is another €8 to €12 depending on the beach.
Not that we go on holiday to watch TV but if you wanted to grab the News Etc the only channels they have are Italian (clearly don’t want to pay for international channels for their guests)… again, just a small thing but I think it’s poor.
we were given 2 pods to make coffee (for a 3 day stay)…. if we wanted more we could buy them? really…. after spending the best part of £1000 you can’t provide 1 coffee per person per day (in a sachet for example?!)
all in all, we loved Capri but wouldn’t recommend the hotel at all.
