A lovely place for a family vacation in real Switzerland

The location was great for us close to all the places we planned to visit, the apartment was spacious and equipped with everything we needed and more, the host was very friendly and helpful and even left us food and snacks when we arrived , and another time when we left ! lovely place highly recommended . Parking for free as well, we were with 2 kids and had a good time.

The curved stairs to the upper floor are a bit challenging with large luggage but we asked for that specific floor and it was fine with us

This is a very comfortable and nice apartment. The location is quiet and allows you to reach the Lauterbrunnen and Gridelwald , Interlaken and the lakes areas in a relatively short drive. As well as the Aare and Rosenlaui gorges. Cables cars and cogwheel trains to Mount Titlis or Pilatus and visit beautiful Lucerne. These are only some of the options. When you arrive at the apartment you find groceries. The staff is kind , helpful and very friendly 😀 😊 🙂

We had such a wonderful stay at Apartments Chalet Wirz Travel. The apartment was incredibly spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed—fridge full, bathroom stocked, and huge, comfy beds that made it perfect for our family of four. It’s the kind of place where you can stay short or long term without worrying about a thing. Lisa went above and beyond for us. She was always available for any questions, picked us up from the train station in the rain (such a lifesaver without a car!), and even surprised us with goodies every day. My kids absolutely adore her—it felt like being cared for by family. Overall, it’s the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality. Highly recommended for families—we’ll definitely be back!

Hi Guys Nice property , nice location Spot on clean Lisa is a wonderful host A lot of free gifts from the house ,nice expreso cafe for all our stay. A gem of a find in a great location!

Property was extremely well equipped with plenty of welcome food and snacks on arrival. This was greatly appreciated as we arrived fairly late! Annalise met us at the property and was extremely friendly- giving all the information and recommendations we required. The property was an excellent find and well located in particular to Lucerne. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed and there was even a dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer, BBQ, and electric vehicle charging point! We will definitely be returning again soon, thank you for a lovely stay!

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Nice location. Very clean ,well equipped , spacious and comfortable apartment. Really very kind people.They were kept all the things that what we need including baby items, we have gone lots of places but never seen this much of hospitality. We highly recommend this apartment and would definitely stay here again.

Great Swiss Chalet for Family

Great property! It was very clean and the host was great with communication throughout the process.

This isn’t the fault of the property, but the unit below us is probably a bit better as it has access to a much larger roof deck. We found it less desirable to be on the balcony when the other family was using their roof deck from a privacy standpoint.

Best apartment I stayed in ever!

It was wow! Really wow! So well furnished and maintained apartment as the owners just left the other day. Absolutely nothing missing for self catering even for ones that like cooking. The interior was even better than on the pictures. We mostly enjoyed the real quiet neighbourhood, the fresh air, the Mountain View . We were riding the passes on a bike and visited Lucerne. It was good starting point. Plenty of parking space available as well.

Wonderful apartment with helpful, friendly and responsive host

Wonderful apartment – fully equipped kitchen with all eating and cooking utensils, dishwasher, stove, microwave, large fridge and freezer, spices. The host even prepared all the necessary food for our first breakfast (and not only breakfast), and there was a bouquet of freshly cut roses on the table. Large dining table in the room, an equally large dining table on the terrace, a huge terrace that covers practically both rooms and the kitchen, board games, two large TVs, 3 beds that can sleep 5 people. There is a grill on the terrace. Very clean apartment, it is located 4 minutes drive from the lake swimming area. By car you can drive high into the mountains in 4 minutes, where you have a fantastic view of the mountains and valleys. This building is located on the edge of the town – it was very quiet at any time of the day, cars practically do not pass by, people do not make noise. 1 hour drive away is the famous village of Lauterbrunnen with waterfalls - we recommend visiting. The host is very helpful, friendly, responsive. We have never met a more polite host. Those who do not live in Switzerland - you may be surprised that the tap water is very tasty and does not need to be filtered. The apartment is located 1 floor above the ground (actually ½ floor), which is very convenient when staying here with children. We usually travel with our own pillows - next time we will leave our pillows at home - because these are very comfortable. There were many hangers for clothes, there was an umbrella, walking sticks There is free parking right at the door.

Maybe the wifi speed could have been a little better, but it was enough for us and we didn't plan on spending too much time at home.

We were so well taken care of, above and beyond our expectations!

Our kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of yummy food! And we had fresh bread and doughnuts delivered to our doorstep every morning! Our host gave us such valuable information about the history of Sarnen, which led us find the home of our great grandparents homestead!

It was amazing!

We loved our apartment! It was perfect for our Christmas holiday. They thought of everything! The apartment was stocked with some complimentary food and beverages which was a nice surprise. Also, the location is great. The train station is nearby which is great to do day trips to places like Lucerne. The shops are nearby as well which is convenient! There are a lot of activities and things to see in the area and this apartment was the perfect base. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it!

We spent five beautiful days in the Chalet Wirz Travel apartments and were captivated by both the comfort of the atmosphere and the fantastic attitude of the owners. The apartments have everything you need for life, and they are a pleasure to spend time in and come back after a day of hiking in the surroundings.

JP is incredibly kind and considerate. We arrived at midnight, and he went out of his way to pick us up from the Sarnen station – it was truly amazing. The apartment was meticulously prepared, featuring thoughtful amenities such as a TV with Netflix, a tablet for the kids, ample bedding, and an array of breakfast items that JP thoughtfully arranged in the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen, it was fully equipped with all the appliances one could need. The entire place was spotless and exceptionally well-maintained – a perfect choice for families with children. Furthermore, JP took the time to give us a tour of Sarnen, showing us around the charming village. The Sarnen lake was a sight to behold, with its stunning beauty. The apartment's location couldn't have been better – it offered easy access to all the exciting attractions like Zuric,Mount Pilatus,Titlis,Interlaken and Junfrau area

The best place to be in Switzerland

This apartment is just out of the world experience. I have never experienced such hospitality anywhere . The host Annalise hosted us so very well. This place has an amazing location. The beautiful countryside you experience with it just out of the world.There is a lake nearby which is just beautiful! She was waiting for us. Once we checked in she herself showed her small town and guided us . The rooms were very comfortable. She had fully stocked the fridge and apartment with fruits, bread, butter, yoghurt, etc. We cannot thank enough for her hospitality. Must visit place ! Your trip will always be memorable!

Our recent weekend stay at an apartment in Sarnen, Switzerland was nothing short of delightful. The apartment was situated in the heart of the city, surrounded by stunning mountain views and breathtaking natural scenery. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by the hosts who provided us with a tour of the apartment and made sure that we were comfortable with our surroundings. The apartment was well-appointed, tastefully decorated and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The living room was spacious, with a comfortable couch and armchair, and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen was modern, with all the appliances we needed to cook meals, including an oven, hob, refrigerator, and dishwasher. There was also a dining table that comfortably seated four people. The bedroom was spacious, with a comfortable double bed and ample closet space. The bathroom was modern, with a shower, toilet, and sink. We were also provided with fresh towels, soaps, and shampoos. Sarnen is a charming city with a rich history and cultural heritage. During our stay, we visited the St. Mauritius Church, a beautiful medieval church located in the center of the city. We also took a stroll through the city center, admiring the well-preserved buildings and the lively atmosphere. There were plenty of shops, restaurants, and cafes to explore, and we found the local cuisine to be both delicious and affordable. On our final day in Sarnen, we took a drive up to the mountains to admire the breathtaking views and enjoy some outdoor activities. The area is a popular destination for hiking, skiing, and snowboarding, and we were able to see many people taking advantage of these activities during our visit. In conclusion, our weekend stay in Sarnen, Switzerland was an unforgettable experience. The apartment was spacious, well-appointed, and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Annalise was such an amazing host. she brought us snacks, showed us how to use the equipments in the house, brought us out for a walk near the apartment. We had an absolutely amazing experience.
