About this villa rental
Mas Toi:
Mas Toi is a large Masia from the last century, finely furnished and with a splendid view, in a very quiet residential area.
It is located in Baix Empordá, in the heart of the Costa Brava, from where you can enjoy all the surroundings. It is 2 km from the center of Calonge and 5 km from the coves and beaches of Torre Valentina where you can explore its beautiful coastal path and cool off in its crystal clear waters.
Entering you have the feeling of taking a dip in the past, among welcoming rooms and classy objects.
The house is spread over two floors, connected by an ancient internal stone staircase.
The ground floor retains the original stone flooring, while the first floor is almost entirely made of wood.
The Masia has a spacious English country style kitchen complete with oven, dishwasher, fridge and all necessary utensils and a dining room. On the ground floor we also find a toilet, an atrium, a large and welcoming living room with television, fireplace (aesthetic) and a comfortable sofas and a storage room with a fridge/freezer and a washing machine.
The 3 bedrooms are located on the first floor: one double with private bathroom and a bright living room with large windows reminiscent of the Venetian style, another double and a bedroom with two single beds, which can use the second bathroom of the floor.
The stone faces, the wooden furniture and beds and the exposed beams will make you feel at home, with a feeling of warmth and comfort.
Outside we have a large garden with magnificent views of the Les Gavarres massif and the valley. In the garden it is possible to park two cars
A barbecue and two large covered porches where you can enjoy grilling with your family or friends, a ping pong table, a smaller table where you can have a quiet summer breakfast make Mas Toi the perfect location for your holidays. Of course, there is also a 7x3m salt pool, ideal for the skin, where you can cool off and relax while sunbathing or admiring the view. High speed WIFI free of charge

wunderschönes Haus, toller Empfang und sehr nette Begleitung durch Vera. Das Haus und die Einrichtung sind einfach super, der Pool, der Garten, einfach schön. Vera war stets für uns da, wenn wir Fragen hatten. Rundum ein schöner Urlaub. (Für uns hätte das Haus etwas näher am Strand sein können, aber dafür kann keiner etwas :-))

Mas toi was even better in reality than we expected . We were a family of 6 adults and a baby .An extremely spacious house that is full of character with wonderful outdoor areas . It had everything you could ever need and an extremely well equipped kitchen .” Home from home “ Vera and Marc were very helpful if we had any questions . We would love to come back again !!!

Our family of 5 spent 10 fantastic days at Mas Toi. Both the parents and the children enjoyed the house and the garden a lot. The house is located in a quiet street and pretty close to several good restaurants in Palamos. The garden has several nice seating areas and a pool; the kitchen is well equipped; beds are comfortable, and the bed rooms are spacy. The interior has many decorations from 'ancient times', decades-old farming tools, paintings and others. This gives a nice atmosphere to the house. We like to thank Vera for the warm welcome and useful tips.

We enjoyed our stay in Mas Toi, but won’t come back. The location nearby a lot of beautiful places, restaurants and beaches. This is where you would like to celebratie a summer holiday!
Vera was nice and welcoming. Communicating with her was pleasant. She responded quickly on our questions before we went to Spain and during our stay she also was quick per app. Also the check out was very friendly and she took our comments seriously, some things can only be changed by the owner though.
The house is old and has its charme, but a lot of things inside are also old/passed current time. The is no airco, but every room has a simple fan. Kitchen was not very clean (fridge!), the equipment is okay, but don not expect luxury or tastfull glassware, cups, plates etc.
Outside there is a lot of space to relax with enough shade around the day. Nice bbq. The pool is very small, with only 4 beds for 6 guests! The beds and cussions are old and dingy. There was no sun umbrella at the pool. When we asked for it, the owner (she lives next door) brought us one immediatly. But this one was very small and not suitable for the location, beacause there is almost every day some wind.
WiFi is very poor and should be up standard in this time!
Overall a nice house, but relating to the price and the description on the website, it should get an upgrade in materials and a little bit of love and understanding of renting out a house.
