Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado

chillig und sehr relaxed

—-

The whole resort sits in a beautiful jungle. The rooms are far away from each other allowing privacy should you require

There were some other guests with young kids constantly being loud and shouting around kind of prevented the vibe

I loved the beautiful gardens in nature, the private spaces of the villas, the pool area, the treehouse restaurant, and the warm, friendly atmosphere created by a caring, inclusive owner and staff.

Nothing to not like.

The hotel is a good fit for divers, with an on-site dive school, great nearby reefs, and very convenient transfers. The location is very calm and the pool area nice.

The hotel advertises an award-winning chef serving fresh, homemade Indonesian and modern Italian dishes. Unfortunately, our experience was a bit different. Breakfast was store-bought toast, eggs, cornflakes, and store-bought juice. Lunch seemed to use ready-made ingredients with few fresh vegetables, and we didn't see much of Indonesia's wonderful local ingredients, so we chose to dine out in the evening. We were also disappointed with the level of cleanliness, which fell short of what we expected for the price. It was the most expensive hotel on our whole journey on Sulawesi.
