Looking for a cute and cosy apartment for four friends, or a family, in an enviable ski-in, ski-out location at the foot of the Pleney slopes? Meet Apartment Gentianes — moments from the lift that gives access to the whole Morzine and Les Gets ski area, and so close to some of the resort’s best après bars and restaurants that you can be off the slopes, have stashed your skis and boots at home and be ordering your first vin chaud in under five minutes.

That’s if you decide to hit the town instead of holing up in your home from home. After all, who wouldn’t blame you for just sitting on your own sunny, south west-facing balcony, admiring the amazing panoramic views? Or curling up on the sofa with a film on the HD TV?

With two spacious bedrooms — king size beds, or twins, your choice — and a newly-renovated bathroom with luxury rain shower (perfect for pummelling away the aches of the day) — this mountain hideaway has everything you need for a memorable stay in Morzine.

There’s no doubt that Apartment Gentianes’ ski-in, ski-out location overlooking the Pleney piste is its major selling point, but this doesn’t just mean minimal messing around, it also means that when you’re sitting on the balcony, whether first thing in the morning with a coffee (did we mention there’s a Nespresso machine?) or later on with something stronger, you’ve got the most amazing mountain panorama to admire.

The good news is that you get the same view from the living area, which is cosy, but perfectly formed, with absolutely everything you might need during your holiday (and always toasty, thanks to the underfloor heating.)

We’re talking large HD TV with Blu-ray player if the day’s exertions have wiped you out and all you’re fit for is a night on the sofa. And a kitchen complete with a fridge freezer, oven, 4-ring induction hob, microwave and dining table seating up to five. There’s even a dishwasher, so you can kickback and relax after dinner, without worrying about the washing up.

The recently renovated bathroom has top of the range facilities with a large rain shower, while the two spacious bedrooms have ample storage — although with a washing machine, drying room, ski locker and secure cycle storage on site, you can pack light and leave soggy kit elsewhere. The rooms sleep two, in either king size beds or twin beds, depending on what works best for your group.

You’re right on top of the Pleney lift with the slopes of Morzine and Les Gets just seconds away, and about a minute’s walk from shops, bars and restaurants. But should you feel the need to head further afield, the Super Morzine lift with access to Avoriaz and the rest of the Portes Du Soleil is an five minute walk, and the regular resort buses which will take you to the Prodains lift for direct access to Avoriaz, go from the stop just three minutes from the apartment.

Holidaying with more friends and family? Take a look at our other apartments within this chalet — Rhodos (sleeps up to 5 people) and Edelweiss (sleeps up to 8 people) — together the three make an excellent choice for groups of up to 17 looking for modern, ski-in, ski-out, self-catered accommodation.

We had a fantastic family holiday staying at this great apartment. It is spacious and very comfortable in a great location close to lifts, restaurants and shops. Charlotte and her family made us very welcome and provided great information on the resort and transfers. We look forward to returning soon.

We had one of the best holidays we have ever had whilst staying at this apartment. Ric and Charlotte, who own and manage the property, were very welcoming and were able to provide us with lots of useful information about Morzine. Perfect people to rent a holiday property from, as any problems or questions we had we could easily contact them. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. We are a family of five (2 adults and 3 children) and it was definitely big enough. The views are great from the balcony and our children loved the Luge right on the doorstep. The location is excellent, 2 minute walk from centre of town and restaurants, but also 30 second walk from one of the main ski lifts. There is also plenty of parking space. We enjoyed visiting Le Lac du Montriond seeing the waterfalls and late one evening, spectacular fireworks. Our children loved all the outdoor activities (tree climbing, zip wire across the valley, spectacular walks, horse riding, ice skating and visiting the local swimming pool). There are also plenty of good restaurants, although some are quite pricey. Overall one of the best family holidays we have had, we thoroughly recommend it!. Our children are begging for us to go back next year!

Spacious, very clean and really comfortable- we were family of 3 adults, but 6 would easily feel very comfortable here. Charlotte and Ric are so welcoming and helpful, yet unobtrusive. The apartment has everything you need, well equipped kitchen, comfy duvets, and plenty of cupboards to store everyone's stuff away. It is so close to the lifts for the Morzine ski range there is no effort to ski, yet it is so secluded and quiet, surrounded by trees- we woke to the lovely sounds of birds every morning. The walk to the lifts for Avoriaz ski range is also only 10 mins, and with shops and the best bakers only 5 mins away its location is superb. The building is well built and to a high finish, with thick walls and floors so you do not hear others. It is a great find, which we will be returning to next year.
