Spacious accommodation with mainly twin rooms. Nice dining room and lounge. Attractive rural surroundings with lots of animals: deer, peacock, ducks, guinea fowl, goldfish. This is a very eccentric house full of art, in particular female nude sculptures, which is fine if you like that sort of thing. It was a pleasant place to stay for the weekend.
The beds/mattresses were not great quality - my one had a plastic cover on it which made it very sweaty. Whilst the downstairs shower room was excellent the upstairs one was basic. The commercial kitchen was not at all homely, although fine for cooking. We paid a deposit, but were a little surprised when this was entirely used up by the so called extras: tourist tax (fair enough), towels (not included), bread from the baker (seemed to cost a lot), electricity and gas (not included) which was "estimated" by the host and amazingly expensive for a three day stay.
