Restaurant Waah on the premises was where I had the breakfast included. Adrian and Alondra were so professional and attentive. Not to mention the delicious variety on the menu. I had the Huevos Motuleñod.

The vibes is very good. The room was clean and confortable.

The staff could be friendlier. Also, the breakfast is very limitless. There is a lot of option but you can only choose one and it’s too small

Breakfast was excellent (much better than what you would expect at this price range.) Hotel is "quirky cool" . AC is weak, WiFi is lousy, pool water is cloudy, tap water interruptions and low pressure, door lock was ready to fall off door, burnt-out LED lighting. Housekeeping not great (dust and crud behind corners). Staff are cold and blasé. But for the US$100 a night I would go again. Location very good. With professional management this place could be greatly improved and the room rate doubled. But heck, we're in Mexico. Yes - I would say this place is authentically Mexican. And at checkout when we were handed the credit card terminal we specifically said we wanted to pay in Mexican pesos and not CDN$ (lousy exchange rate.) After leaving the hotel and checking the invoice, the SOBs charged in $CDN which had a 5% "convenience fee" added as well as the note "as per client's choice." You always have to keep your eyes open when doing financial transactions in Mexico - it's still a poorer country and some of them are very crafty when dealing with foreigners.

Felt like we were in a construction zone. The hotel is being expanded and the exposed concrete structure and walls plus shoddy tarpaulins, form the backwall of that "fancy" swimming pool (with cloudy water) that you see in the promo pics.
