Red Frog Beach Island Resort

Not a whole lot to add but it was a great experience and good value. They could use a store and maybe another restaurant and bar but I believe they are coming.

What we truly appreciated about this resort was the warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful staff. The resort is also located in a very beautiful and well-maintained natural setting, which creates a relaxing and picturesque atmosphere. However, when considering the overall experience in relation to the price, we would not choose to return. We initially booked a Jungle house, which was unfortunately disappointing. There was a strong smell of humidity inside, and the furniture, curtains, and overall interior felt quite outdated. Some of the furniture showed visible wear and tear. For nearly ### per night, we expected a much higher standard of quality and comfort. Thankfully, after expressing our concerns, the staff kindly relocated us to a villa. The villa was significantly better in terms of quality and comfort. However, it was located quite far from the beach and restaurants. Each time we wanted to go to the main areas, we either had to walk 20 minutes or call for a golf cart. Sometimes the golf cart arrived quickly, but on other occasions it did not arrive at all, and after waiting around 30 minutes, we still had to walk. The food at the Beach Club La Rosa was very average, so we decided to stop dining there. Instead, we chose to eat at the Selva restaurant at El Palmar hotel, where the food was noticeably better. The resort has a beautiful beachfront pool, which looks stunning. Unfortunately, it does not appear to be well maintained. Our daughter cut her foot there, which was concerning and disappointing. In summary, for this price point, the resort should be much better managed and maintained. While the staff and location are definite strengths, the overall quality does not match the cost.
