Memorable

We loved the friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming staff. It's an old historic building with charm and character. The beds and bathrooms are comfortable, the rooms are spacious. The coffee in the lobby is ready at 7:30 am. It's a little tricky to drive to it. Very hilly and narrow roads. Be prepared for steps on inclines. There are roosters very near that start to crow at about 4 am.

Classic hotel with great views

The property has beautiful classic architecture and a nice courtyard to enjoy the sun. The King room was large and had closets and amenities that made us very comfortable. They even had a heater in the room! The staff was friendly and spoke English. We were told we could pay when we arrived instead of having to find a bank to pre-pay. The hotel is located in the center of town so it is an easy walk to everything. We loved the view of the city from our room. I have no reservations recommending this hotel in every aspect!

Hot water in the shower was not consistent. It is sad to waste water for several minutes before it gets hot. They should consider water heater at the shower head.

Location, staff service, comfortable bed, water bottles.

On the second night, we couldn't shower because the water came out cold. And although there was a note posted in the bedroom saying that water can delay a while to get hot, it never did. Also, there's a leak from under the shower floor that makes the flooring out of the bathroom wet, where you step onto as you take your step out of the bathroom. It's some sort of bad design for the flooring that causes this. Unfortunately, many other rooms present the same problem. I was able to check them out since they are kept open when there are no occupants. And I saw the flooring with water damage in all of them. I should mention that the floors are made out of wood. So you can imagine the discomfort of a wet flooring. We also found a live scorpion in the bathroom. Beware!

A Step Back in Time

Probably one of my favorite ever traditional hotels up there with the Stanley in Colorado. A total step back in time. Located right in the heart of el Real and appointed with all the accoutrements you would want out of a deeply retro hotel. Steps to the square and food and everything. Staff were friendly and the balcony looking over the town was amazing. When i bring people back to el Real we will be staying here. Hands down the best property of my two weeks in Mexico.

Just be aware there is VERY hot water available in the shower it just takes a minute to get going but they fully disclose this and hey it’s an old place, it’s part of the charm.

De las mejores opciones para quedarse en Real del Monte.

En general es bonito, cómodo y funcional. Un extra es que haya calentador y la ubicación es muy buena.

El olor que salía del baño, las toallas y cobijas no estaban muy limpias.

Me encantó, lo recomiendo

La atención del personal excelente sobre todo para guardar el auto, la habitación cómoda y grande, tienen calefacción por lo que fue de gran ayuda para esos dias fríos; la ubicación al centro esta a unos pocos metros, lo recomiendo.

Su ubicación es excelente, sus instalaciones muy bonitas y limpias, el personal muy amable, el estacionamiento no está en el hotel pero no está lejos.

Excelente hotel y lugar

Hotel muy bonito, en armonía con el pueblito! La habitación estaba muy limpia y cómoda; se nota que se da mantenimiento constantemente! El clima era muy frío y tenían café y agua para té a disposición! El personal es muy amable El estacionamiento queda a 2 cuadras pero es muy rápido llegar a el!

El piso de la habitación es de duela y rechina un poco, puede llegar a ser incómodo
