The breakfast was excellent. The shower and wifi are good. There is a nice garden. The pool looks great but was too cold to swim now.The people at the reception are very nice and helpful. It is walking distance from the railway station and the center. There is a bus stop next to the hotel to Sao Joa del Rei. Close to the hotel there is a lavanderia. You can wash your clothes in an hour and even dry them.
If I go to a hotel I want to sleep. This was very difficult. First of all at 5 o'clock the roosters of the neighbours started. Second it is an old building so you could hear every move of the people above you. Third of all if somebody would take a shower a terrible noice started.
At the reception they do not speak any English. And there was a problem with the bill. I had to pay a lot more then expected €40 more
$$$$
