Beautiful Location with amazing views of the mountains... away from the maddening crowd and sounds which other boat houses have and hospitality by the friendly and knowledgeable host tariq.we also experienced BBQ in a shikara at the door step. Will definitely come back again here.

The houseboat is located in a quiet park of the lake overlooking the lotus ponds. It's spectacularly beautiful and hidden from the Lakeshore which is a madhouse.
Boat rides to and from the houseboat are free. Host Tariq is well versed in dealing with foreign guests and is very helpful with arranging stuff. I understand he does excursions beyond srinagar and treks as well but unf there was no time for that.
Location wise, I observed that up to about ghat 10 the houseboats are super near the Lakeshore. So, depending on whether you want convenience or privacy you can plan accordingly.
Hmm the weather was too hot while I was there but it's not the houseboats fault :)
