Veranda Belle Mare "Ex Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel" - All Inclusive

The staff was amazing. When we arrived, the reception brought us cold towels and a welcome drink. They prepared our room quickly and let us check in early. The room was spacious, clean and bicely decorated. Food was generally good, lots of options. The bar kept us hydrated and happy. Beach was great but the weather wasn't, so we couldn't enjoy it much. The cooks who were working on the grill was very sweet and provided us delicious omelets in the mornings. Customer relations manager always checked on us, was very friendly. Overall, great experience. It felt like more than 3 stars.

Lunch buffet that was set on the seaside on a super windy day. I didn't think it was necessary and the food got cold quickly. Also there weren't many places to sit and not enough food, even though they kept bringing more.

This is possibly the 5th time i have stayed at this hotel - i choose it again and again over others because of its location, service and how ideally situated it is. It’s small and clean and everything is ideally located within easy walking distance. The sand in front of the hotel is possibly one of the best in Belle Mare. The service and management have beenn exceptional as well as the entertainment team. i fondly remember a carrot board game we played with Kewal and Wesley. Kids had a great time snorkelling at the reef as well. All in all, a great hotel and one we will go to again on our next trip to Mauritius.

Sami was a star, he went above and beyond for us. If it wasn't for his service we would have left the hotel on the second day. The location is beautiful and the spa was excellent. The check-in team was efficient and very friendly. Rooms were clean.

The beach chairs are in very poor condition ( some broken/ torn ) and hurts your back making relaxing on the beach imposable, the beds in the rooms are terrible and you end up sleeping on the base planks. They need to be replaced. The breakfast dishes ( very limited selection ) doesn't get re-filled so first come, first serve if you want bacon. They only re-fill the dishes when the management staff eats at the buffet. Stray dogs are a big problem especially when they sleep on the chairs leaving hair on them and the poop on the grass is a problem. Also if you have a beachfront room don't leave the door open as the animals will go inside. Some staff especially at the restaurant and at the bar act like you are an inconvenience not a guest. Luckily not all act with such rude attitudes. The management just makes excuses. When it rains the staff doesn't remove the pillows on the seats which ends up wet for days making them unusable. The boats crosses onto the swimming area and it could cause serious injuries! It is not the Veranda we knew.
