Cozy Rorbu with an Amazing view on the fjord.
Kitchen full of all the stuff needed to cook.
Very close to Reine, Reinenbringen (closed during the winter season) and Ä I Lofoten (20min by car).
The shower tray in the bathroom was leaking and water was coming out all over the bathroom floor.
During our stay, a Rorbu near us was under renovation, and we heard mouse also after 8:30pm (considering the amount paid for the stay, we did not expect such a situation)

The bed is not very comfortable.

Beautiful location in Hamnøy, cabin facing the harbour with privileged view over northern lights.
It would have been nice to have some more variety in the dinner menu, everyday the same Christmas menu was repeated.

Location and view
They put us to the old and unmatched our booking cabin. The power trip on and off. The building feel like to collapse when the strong wind. We were in front of the garbage collection area. Choice of breakfast is not good.

Very nice spot with amazing views
Everything was great. Only thing is that the water from the shower leaks out to the general toilet area as its not sealed.

The location is great definitely, especially for the room that I picked. It's just right in front of the small mountain and the view is amazing. There is Gadus restaurant and it was a great experience eating there. The food was amazing and the ambience was very chill.
Unfortunately, the light in the living room is not working. We contacted the staff and tried accordingly. Press the button and turn, no matter how it just didn't work. So we were staying with dark living room. Otherwise, it's all great. The bedroom is pretty tight so we decided to move to the bed in living room. It was so much better, spacious. The hot water is super limited so I just had a lighting fast shower. Need more lights at the parking area, it was so dark especially when we arrived during raining. It was pretty dangerous to be honest because it is so close to the edge. The water stream that night was pretty scary.

We were in the waterfront cabin and the view was unreal. One of the nights we had clear skies and we could see the northern lights from the big cabin windows.
The cooking process was a bit cumbersome. The smoke alarm was placed above the stovetop and on one of the nights we had finished cooking at least an hour ago and the alarm turned on, even though the ventilation was turned on.

I love my stay at Eliassen Rorbuer very very much. I and my hubby could live our slow live as we expected. Location of the residence was very spectacular. All facilities were definitely matched our needs. I would visit this place again for sure if I have a chance to visit Lofoten.
Nothing. I could say I love Eliassen Rorbuer.

We chose this place for viewing Northern Lights. And we were lucky to have one night with clear sky. We walked a few steps from our room to the water side of the deck - a breathtaking aurora borealis scene was right above us. The rorbuer / cabin definitely exceeded our expectation in this regard, and everything else became secondary though all were to our satisfaction.
Not intended to complain but if we go back to Norway and want to stay here again, please know the two chairs in the living room are a bit hard to sit on for long, and the sofa is not ergonomic as an alternative either.

The view, even with rain, is incredible. Great to have a free charging station and a good restaurant on site.
Small cramped bedroom with the double bed shoved up against the wall on one side and no room to walk around the end, so you have to climb over the other person.

Our cabin had a beautiful view and we loved just sitting by the windows and enjoying the view from our sitting room. This is especially important when you get bad weather! We were also able to run out of our cabin to take the Northern Lights which was great! The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to prepare simple meals easily. The staff were very friendly and information about check-in was provided beforehand.

The location can’t be beat. Absolutely beautiful; comfortable, quiet, clean, incredible view.
Maybe a few more options in the kitchen-pepper, sugar? But no complaints

Well equipped kitchen, clean rooms, spacious enough for two people. The bathroom floor was heated which was very nice. All rooms were very warm. Self check in.
The fire alarm got somehow switched on at 6am in the morning and brutally woke us up. We never found out why. Our rorbu was on the second line, so we had no view. We didn't know which our rorbu will be up until noon of the day we checked in.

One of the most beautiful "hotels" we have ever stayed at. Highly recommend. We had a room that looked out over the water and fjord and would recommend this.

Iconic red cabins that are very homey and cozy to stay in
Miscommunication from staff regarding whether breakfast was included in our original booking or not.
They told us via email it was included in our original booking and would provide us a refund (we paid for it on site) and then they later changed their mind regarding providing a refund. Also, don’t pay for breakfast here - it’s overpriced and bland. Recommend to stay here but go elsewhere to get meals.
Also, the sauna was overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend.

We got a waterfront view. The view is superb and gorgeous!
The cabin is clean and new. The staff is warm and helpful
Would be better if the hotel can restrict the car from hogging the EV charging point. EV parking lot is only designated for charging and not for petrol-car.
The hotel can register the car plate number upon check-in. If there is any car hogging the charging point for the whole night, the hotel staff is able to inform the owner of the car.

Location is excellent, just walking distance to the famous view point.
Toilet/bathroom is downstair while most of our group are staying on the second floor (living room there too) - not really good arrangement.

The location was excellent with beautiful surroundings. There were nearby kayak and restaurant options.
We did not have a room with a view .Given the configuration of the property, we had very little privacy as the room was surrounded by other rooms. Felt a bit like being in a fishbowl.

We had a wonderful time at Eliassen Rorbuer. The location is absolutely stunning – breathtaking views and a truly beautiful, peaceful natural setting. Our Rorbuer was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s the perfect place to unwind and take in the magic of the Lofoten Islands.
The only downside was breakfast during the first two mornings. It felt quite hectic and seemed a bit understaffed. We had to wait about 45 minutes for the scrambled eggs at the buffet to be refilled, and several other items were also missing or took a long time to be restocked.

The view on the Reinefjorden
I’m surprised by the number of positive reviews. We paid 4020NOK per night that’s around 340€ for what they call a hotel but is more like an Airbnb. We stayed 3 nights and there were no housekeeping you had to take out your trash. Furniture is very cheap, bed uncomfortable. Breakfast also very disappointing, no fresh fruits, no variety. Everyday the same options. Extremely expensive for what it is.

Location in Hamnoy is excellent (although it is confusing and misleading as it says Reine but it’s not in Reine it’s in Hamnoy). The view from the cabin was very nice. The kayak company that shares their space is excellent and would highly recommend joining a paddle with them.
Within a few minutes of arriving we discovered the internet would not work - this was a problem as my daughter needed to complete a few hours of work on-line. When discussed with them they just suggested we use a ‘games room’ which was basically a doorless warehouse. I thus asked for her to use the reception area as it was too cold to be in the warehouse. This was unfortunate and very inconvenient and while I understand not entirely under their control, compensation of some sort should have been offered. Of our two rooms, one smelt bad and the other room’s heater did not work. The ‘Max’ 15 minutes of hot water at a time before having to wait hours for reheat was unreasonable for 4 people staying together and everything at this place seemed geared just towards trying to make more money. For the two nights prior, we stayed at a neighbouring facility (Reinefjord Sjohus) which was a much better place (we moved thinking we were going to stay in Reine not realizing it was just next door still in Hamnoy). The Sjohus accommodation was so much better and the difference in management was obvious - they were excellent at communicating, as well as going above and beyond - so were worth the slightly higher cost.

Nice location.
It was “slow season” so no breakfast was available and when I booked it said breakfast was available. I also could not book the sauna for the same reason, “slow season”.
