The Serai Chikmagalur

The property itself, the villa, the plantation, cycling, picnic, etc. Everything is clean, beautiful aesthetics, spacious, serene, nice options for a getaway out in nature. Can only imagine how much better this experience will become once the management gives the staff the training they ought to get.

The staff had such a great "want to help" attitude but are so poorly trained. Their inter-department backend communication is almost non-existent. They are completely unaware of what it means to deliver international standards of hospitality - and this is everyone across the front desk, bar, restaurant, housekeeping, etc. But I can't blame the staff at all. If it's clear that everyone wants to do right by the customer but hasn't been told what is "right", the issue is not them. Can only make a plea to management to up their standards of staff training and put all of them through the training intensity that a Taj offers. Because if customers are charged rates comparable to Taj, then services standards need to be at that level.
