Pousada O Canto do Francês

This charming, small-scale bed and breakfast has cute rooms, a good restaurant with an expansive menu, and is centrally located. The setting is calm and peaceful, tucked away on a quiet street corner and with a swimming pool on site. The front desk was willing and helpful to arrange taxis for us, as there is no Uber on the island. We only stayed here one night but ended up wishing it had been two (though this is as much a commentary or Soure itself as this cute pousada). An extra bonus was that we happened to be at this pousada the night that a local carimbó group came on-site to perform. It's my understanding that this is a weekly event. What a gift that was -- one of the highlights of our trip, as super fun, but also unexpected! The evening involved lots of laughter, good times, and fun.

If you're a light sleeper and here on Carimbó night, you won't be able to escape the music, as this is a small place. But, the music was over by 10:00 p.m. No English spoken here, so if that's a criterion for you staying here, plan to use Google Translate for your communication needs. Breakfast was okay, but not fantastic.

Pousada boa localização, piscina com água quentinha para quando chegavamos dos passeios e um café da manhã delicioso, tudo feito na própria pousada!

Como tínhamos que sair muito cedo pelo fato de pegar lancha rápida as 5.30 foi dito por algumas funcionárias que iria deixar um lanche a nós pronto. E assim quando fomos pegar havia uma garrafinha de café preto e bolacha de maisena. Achamos um descaso pq de um lanche para o que tinha, pensamos que poderia ter deixado ao menos algumas frutas ou um lanche mesmo. Café nós 2 não tomamos.

A pousada é muito boa, mas poderia ter uma cadeira no quarto. Café da manhã muito bom. Eles servem uma tapioca molhada, uma delícia, gostaria que tivesse presente em todos os cafés.

Não teve nada que eu não tenha gostado.

Jardim e piscina formam um local agradável, mas falta um pouco mais de cuidado.

As instalações tem melhorar e dá mais treinamento para os funcionários.
