A campsite worth a visit, but not just before season closure

The beach is wonderful. The pastries are lovely when they have them available!

We made a mistake to come the final week the campsite were open as the staff were focused on their holidays and countdown to closing the campsite and little by little throughout the week the service was going down hill in the sense that you could no longer get anything good from the restaurant as they didn't have it in any more, the coffee/bar area only offered very basic things and could not even do a hot chocolate etc. They also had nothing in the market part and there was no feeling that we were being looked after as customers. It's a shame but it's a learning for next time. Don't go to a campsite expecting all the services mentioned if they're about to close as it's almost as though they have packed up shop before you even finish your holiday.

Great beach holiday and water sports

The beach was the best. Very nice sand and clear water. The location was close to the next town Castiglione della Pescaia. The reception staff was very friendly and courteous to change our unit after first night of arrival. On site breakfast service / cafe very good. The luxury tents look very nice. We stayed in a bungalow close to the beach which was very good. We loved the watersports, took catamaran lessons. The lessons were pricey but worth the experience and the trainers very friendly and knowledgeable.

The restaurant is overburdened, the service a little arrogant if you need special attention. Don’t expect too much. The food is very standard. No pizza on first night of arrival, very long waiting time. Much better to head into town. Be Careful about some bungalows close to the parking lot. They are sub standard compared to the ones closer to beach as the have been built very close to eachother with little privacy.

I enjoyed the beach. You feel very safe on the campground. It's generally a friendly atmosphere.

I did not like the mosquitos but that's just nature.

Not a glamping

Location is nice in the pine trees

There are more tents/bungalows then trees. Density of tents and people too high, one of top of the other, no privacy at all. Clearly a place where they prefer quantity to quality. And to call it a glamping is not fair. It is a camping, full stop. But even for a standard camping, too many slots.

Quiet and beautiful during low season with good restaurant, cozy cottage, and excellent beach location.

We were there in the off season and it rained on/off so we were able to enjoy a very quiet and beautiful beach only a short walk away from our comfortable cottage for four. They even have a restaurant (Mama’s) onsite that had very good food and very friendly service. We got there too late to rent bikes, as we planned, but the subsequent opportunity to just relax, picnic, and walk along the abandoned beach was magical and welcoming. The cottage for 4 was clean, the beds comfortable, and provided the needed heating for this time of year. There was a mosquito net for the double bed (not the bunk beds), but this was not needed. We had a small closet and sofa to place our luggage, but this was fine. The outdoor table and patio was simple, but also nice. The kitchenette with a refrigerator and hot pot was a small area, but clean and equipped for moderate to casual use.

We originally booked a deluxe tent for 4, but changed to a cottage when we found it had no heating. Although we are used to tent camping, we are glad we made the change. The tents are located in more cramped areas and a group near us had an untrained, an unfriendly dog, plus it was noisy and uninviting (not pretty locations at all and quite a distance from the beach). We were accommodated with the change which was not much more in cost for an already good and reasonable price. Car logistics were a bit inconvenient. We could not park the car at the cottage so had to walk a distance to get to the main reception and parking area. That said, we were allowed to at least temporarily park the car to load/unload luggage. During the high season, this would be difficult and prone to congestion (and cause noisy interruptions for campers) due to narrow access roads.

Great stay for a great price

The 5p country lodge tent was equiped with everything you would need, charming style and great price. Staff very helpfull, beach really close, we loved everything! And the surroundings are just beautiful

The cottage was unsafe with no smoke alarm or carbon monoxide alarm but was gas cooker inside and a small room. The light above the cooker was flickering and the electric was not good or safe. The electric heater on the wall was dented and stained brown. It did not look safe . I asked about the Carbon monoxide alarm and they laughed and said only for the rich cabins not the poor ones. I could not rent a bike or do water sports beacuse it was all closed and so I was left to be only in the camp site with nothing to do because I did not have a car and they did not have the bikes open to rent. I asked for a two blankets because I was so cold I could not sleep, I was told I could only have one blanket. Even though there was just 150 guests in the camping and it takes 1000. I was so cold and I could not keep the electric heater on all night because it was not safe to do so and no smoke alarm . I had a really bad stay and I paid €280 for 6 nights and I left after 5 nights

The Trianon cottage was functional. Well heated. Useful porche. Inspiring woody surroundings. Good shower. Big parking. Friendly staff.

Not much charm. Extremely simply bathroom and bedroom. Camping very dense in lodgements so lots of vis-a-vis.

I have referred Camping Maremma Sanssouci to various friends and I will go there again.

It is the third time I have been at this location. The beach ist great. The facilities are very clean and the site has a great feel. There is enough shade and the right mixture of privacy and openness.The staff is very helpful and always polite.

It would be very nice if the Mini Lodge had a small folding table with regular heights. It could be attached to the railing maybe.

Good

Our first night we stayed in the tent for 2 pers. The facilities for the showers and toilets were very basic. There were no toilet seats (not sure if it was because of corona. We had a little higher expectation for the facilities with the ‘glamping’ tent. The tent itself was fine. Luckily we could change our booking into a cottage with own toilet and shower. The staff was really nice and helpful. The cottage was basic but fine. Nice and not so big camping. The camping is situated next to the beach in a pine wood. Location is perfect if you want to have a beach vacation in Toscane.

Facilities for ‘glamping’ were not very ‘glam’ :)
