China Mayors Plaza

We had a wonderful stay at China Mayors Plaza and were very impressed with both the hotel and its staff. The location is excellent, the rooms are spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and we had a spectacular view from our room. We also really enjoyed the breakfast — everything was fresh and delicious. I would especially like to express my sincere gratitude to Amy at the reception. During our stay, we unfortunately had a very unpleasant experience with a taxi driver who charged us 309 CNY for a taxi ride that was only one stop. Amy immediately took the situation seriously and contacted the police on our behalf. What impressed us most was that she did much more than we could have expected. She personally accompanied us to the police station, communicated with the police, and helped explain the situation. Thanks to her assistance, the police were able to identify the taxi driver. We are also very grateful to the hotel management for supporting Amy in helping us during her working hours and for arranging the hotel shuttle to take us to the police station. We truly appreciated this level of care and support. Overall, we had a very positive experience with the hotel and its staff. Everyone we encountered was professional, kind, and helpful. A special thank you to Amy — her kindness and willingness to help turned a very stressful situation into one that was much easier for us to handle. We would happily stay at China Mayors Plaza again and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Had a really pleasant stay here! The staff were absolutely wonderful, super helpful and accommodating throughout our stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the location is very convenient, with the metro within walking distance The breakfast also had a decent selection with enough variety to start the day. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Guangzhou!

Aircon in lobby too warm

The location is great, and the staff are excellent; Sam Woo is a very attentive employee. The rooms on the 5th floor have been renovated; they are clean and comfortable.

The only downside is that the elevators are shared with the plaza on the upper floors. I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10.

I gave the highest score the first time i stayed here (5 days before the first stay). It truly is a great hotel, but...the random noise, some of the staff...

Apparently, 2 days a month (that happened to be the 2 days we stayed here the second time), it's a mandatory government drilling something (i really didn't understood the explanation) so the first night, exasperated by the noise I called the reception and they told me that the noise will stop at 2am (it did). The next day, they changed my room but didn't tell me that the noise it's exactly the same on that side, so at 11pm, when I arrived to my room and heard the exact wonderful noise, they told me that, yes, of course I can hear it, but they will change my room again. Beautiful room, great view.I was very understanding since I tend to be zen in vacations. It took me about 10 minutes to pack my bags, but because I was left alone to deal with carrying them from the 7th floor to the 13th floor, two roads were necessary. And.. they didn't let me enter the room the second time, because it wasn't my room "anymore". I tried to explain, but since nobody speaks English, it was necessary to have a complete meltdown to make them understand
