The hotel was in a great location for us, it was about a 10 minute stroll down to the lake which is the largest natural lake in the district.
There was no air conditioning in the room and with the very high temperatures, the room remained quite hot all night. The wifi was appauling. We keep a travel blog for family and friends and we couldn't complete the entry due to the poor wify.

The view was superb and that’s the reason we booked. The rooms are very spacious but bathrooms a bit tight. Nice balcony to admire the view. Very large and comfortable bed. Well laid out wardrobe, storage space and lighting was good. We didn’t have breakfast, just a coffee. There is a lockable storage room for bikes. The meal in the restaurant was good and the wines were well priced.
It was hot when we stayed and like so many hotels in Germany, no air conditioning. There was space for a fridge but there wasn’t one and the complimentary water was warm. You could get cold beers from the reception. No kettle to make a cup of tea or coffee but apparently, some rooms do have, so choose carefully. Wifi was not good at all. But the thing we hadn’t expected was the road outside being so noisy, so sitting on the balcony listening to motorcycles roar by wasn’t so good while admiring the view, although the restaurant on the ground floor seemed to be better with sound barriers.

The best part of this hotel is (in summer) undoubtly the patio restaurant seating as the sun sets over Alpsee, it is simply unbeatable. Nice enough balconies overlooking same lake. Quiet location that avoids the hustle-bustle from Immenstad, still the towncentre is nearby (20min walk). A stroll to the shore of Alpsee is just a few minutes and highly recommended. In all I really liked this hotel, it is a 3-star hotel but because of its charm with a 5 star rating from me. The staff is rather friendly, some ppl complain about being pushy in the restaurant, but I would say the opposite. Have only good to say. Breakfast buffer was good. I see ppl complain about restaurant (price vs quality etc), but I thought it was excellent, I absolutely did not regret eating out every evening at the restaurant, especially not given the use of the outdoor patio. Sufficient parking outside when I was there, but I can see it can get rather full on busy days.
As others have written: the wifi. It was just ok in my room, but a few meters towards the balcony it sort of disappeared. Also in the restaurant (outside) no coverage. Wifi is so cheap to install, that it seems long overdue. The matresses are what you expect in a 3 star hotel: will do but not great. The bathrooms are small, but I felt just ok. (or I did not mind they were small).
