Was a nice room comfy bed. The self check in option was interesting. Looks well. Good size Tv and wifi connection was good. Nice bathroom.

The fact you have to pay €10 to keep your car there overnight. Bookings.com doesn’t state it anywhere that’s its paid parking. I don’t believe you should have to pay for the parking if you are already a paying guest. Not very soundproof as could hear everything clearly from outside the door and we were a good bit down the corridor but could hear everyone talking walking by or coming up.

Close to the Hermitage

Excellent location to the Hermitage Clinic. Large rooms, quite room/hallway friendly staff, excellent value. The two-course dinner was lovely.

Found the room to be a bit warm. Toilet in the room didn't always flush. The sitting room was a bit dark as there was only one lamp in the room.

Staff were very friendly. Parking and proximity to Liffey valley are decent.

€10 for parking for residents is ridiculous. Couldn’t find staff to order hot breakfast from. Was placed in a room with adjoining rooms and had to listen to someone clearing their throat all night. At least I think it was coming from the adjoining room such was the volume. The pool was packed with swimming lessons and is very dark with pool lights not working. This made the water look quite dirty and the changing rooms are absolutely disgusting. The makeshift benches cut my son’s leg as the edges are sharp. No locks on the lockers as they’re all broken. It speaks volumes when the staff ask you to leave your phone with them at reception. A lot of long term residents loitering about.

No music. Quite boring. Electric went out in our room for 1 hr had to ring multiple times to get it sorted. Pool is beside restaurant which means you have to walk by the restaurant in your swim suit to go down. Usually any hotel this would be in a part of its own and not beside a restaurant.

Amazing hotel from food to staff everything was brillant

I had booked one night stay for myself my mam and my daughter. My daughter wanted to stay in a hotel for her birthday. The staff was genuinely brilliant they made her day! She loved her stay so much when we checked out she cried to stay one more night! I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends. Will also be back to the hotel again for another stay

The staff were very friendly at check-in and excellent front of house.

Very loud & aggressive partying going on in either one room or a few rooms around midnight. Totally unacceptable for other guests, a very poor reflection on the hotel. We will never stay here again.

We booked the hotel to use the pool but when we were on our way to the pool we were told it was closed for the day. If I had known in advance I would have made sure to use the pool the day we arrived. Our 4 young children were very disappointed.

The staff we encountered were friendly.

The room itself was so dirty and unkempt. We were staying with our 8 month old baby and I had emailed requesting a travel cot in the room but upon arrival the travel cot was absolutely disgusting and dirty. There was dust everywhere and the floor was like it had not been swept/hoovered. There were stains and marks on the walls. Very very unhygienic and it put us right off.

Definitely Carlton should not over charge people for parking the cars. Other Carlton don’t do it with customers. It’s not fair and I do not recommend.

Location was great for shopping. Bedroom was clean & comfortable.

Hotel seems like it needs some work, interior is run down. Pool was not clean. Changing rooms felt grotty & unclean. Bar area/seating is very worn& carpet was dirty.

Pool was packed 1st night so went down at 8am Bank hol Monday morning, nice size pool but as I was walking down steps from jaccuzi slipped got my left foot caught in deck chair left in way of bottom step and fell hard, skint my right knee and twisted left one. Tho Jodie helped me no big enough plasters in box and not one manager asked if I was OK or followed up with me!!

The room was big and spacious, spotless. Only minus for me was a shower head above your head, no shower hose. It is not a complaint, everything was working perfectly. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

the staff were helpful and friendly

On arrival we were given a complementary upgrade to a suite , on reflection this was a down grade, it lacked atmosphere, separated from the hotel. the lifts were dirty , so too was the entrance, and wasn't clean during our stay . the room was clean, but on the cool side. We went to reception and asked about the heating , a mobile heater was offered but never arrived Breakfast was nice up until I found a long hair in it . Got clamped in the car park which took over 3 hrs to unclamped after paying the fine.

Our stay overall was satisfactory

We booked for a family of 5 unfortunately there was only one double bed and only a pull out sofa bed with a stained quilt and the quilt cover was for a king sized bed we had to request an extra fold down bed which was fine but under the sofa was not cleaned my two kids did not sleep well because the sofa bed was just not comfortable

Dirty, staff awful , not rude but incompetent, on coffee bar and reception restaurant same small menu, staff for daily soup wrong , was a big deal as didn’t like the soup of the day told it was vegetable but it was tomatoe. Coffee staff couldn’t make an Irish coffee dispute bring there for 2 years although very polite , other bar staff need to learn more customer service as service was 15-20 mins to be served , no apology and quite grumpy Reception never answered the phone , found Stanley blade on the floor in room , took to reception , no apology just “oh workman we’re staying in your room before you ! What is a child had picked that up ! , tv aerial broken , tv remote and kettle had to be replaced as not working, couldn’t flush toilet at night as made an awful noise , room very tired although beds really comfy

Breakfast was lovely but i think kids breakfast should be free ?? We stay there fairly often as i have family living near by .but i was very disapointed when on cheak out they said i didnt pay and in fact i had. i was so embarrassed standing at the counter trying to get hold of my husband to send something to say i had paided ... told to sit down till the manager went to investagate it . To be told yes your paid up ??
