Great room for an overnight stay

The room had everything you needed, very comfortable bed and clean with a good bathroom. Lovely restaurant Marie table facing it, the food in there and the ambience were great. The tsbac next door was a good coffee stop.

Location was ok but couldn't walk into the centre had to drive.

Very disappointing - falls well below the usual Campanile standards

The room was to the normal “New Generation” Campanile standard – carpeted flooring and a twin-head shower over a bath with a glass screen and a surround of white mosaic tiles. The restaurant was closed on my first evening there, but dinner on the second evening was imaginative and to a good standard, particularly for a Campanile. Samosas (in France?), steak (presumably not from the UK!) that was tender and tasty, and a pleasant trio of cheese.

I could not recommend this hotel – the proprietors apparently feel no obligation to abide by published times, or to provide adequate meals even where these are included in the room rate. They emailed me early on the morning of my arrival to say that the reception would be closed from 12h00 until 17h00, even though they had, at the time of booking, agreed to my arrival between 15h00 and 16h00. I had work to do in the afternoon and fortunately I was close enough to get to the hotel by 11h30 for an early check in. I had arrived on a Sunday, and like many hoteliers in France the owners of this Campanile seemed to believe that their clients should not be provided with dinner on Sundays, so I was forced to eat at a nearby Buffalo Grill – an ordeal for which no hotelier can hope to be forgiven! Breakfast on the Monday did not start until 08h30 instead of the advertised 07h30, and the buffet was unacceptably meagre. The hot food dispenser was empty, the cold area was empty, there was no fruit salad, there was no butter, there was muesli but no cold milk to accompany it – there were just mini croissants, pain-au-chocolate and bread rolls, and a small selection of fruit. The receptionist saw that I was searching for food and asked what I would like to eat. I asked for scrambled egg but that was not available, so I asked for ham and some butter for the bread rolls, and these were brought to the table. Not what most clients would expect of a buffet style breakfast. On checkout, I refused to pay the full €11.90 for this meal, and after a discussion this was removed from the bill

This is the second time we have been let down with restaurants being closed, unlikely to book again

Breakfast was fine

We arrived for 1500 hrs the stated opening time on our booking form, to find the reception wasn't open until 16.45! It transpired that the receptionist was already on site and could clearly see that we were waiting but made no effort to assist us, left us waiting for an 1 3/4hrs. We booked a Campanile hotel on the understanding that the restaurant would be open for an evening meal. Very disappointed that the restaurant was shut.

Unusually disappointing for Campanile.

Staff and cleanliness good and welcoming. Parking easy despite busy nights and well, centrally situated, close to restaurants and supermarket.

I was quoted €138 for a two night stay but was charged €152.40 on registering. I had asked for a disabled friendly room but the room was too small to turn a wheelchair in and the bath was inaccessible to my handicapped wife.

Your typical Campanile, just the way I like it: simple but clean, comfortable, decent beds and pillows, decent bathroom, a kettle as well as breakfast and dining services. Good parking. Nicest staff, too.

Would have been reasonable value for money had it not been for the waterproof undersheet

Easy check in. Decent air conditioning. Electric external blinds. Kettle in room (although you have to ask for cups/coffee/tea etc)

No shower curtain - showering made the entire bathroom floor soaking. Car park isn't big enough, so no space if you arrive too late in the evening. Breakfast was very basic. But the worst thing was whatever the waterproof thing was under the sheet. It crinkled whenever you moved in the bed. It made the bed sticky. It was horrible.

Très bon rapport qualité prix. Il ne faut pas s’attendre à des prestations de luxe mais pour le prix c’était très bien, très fonctionnel, chambres spacieuses, propres, grand lit confortable. Recharge pour voiture électrique juste à côté.

A l’extérieur du centre ville, la vue du bâtiment ne fait pas rêver mais l’intérieur est très correct

Het personeel was vriendelijk. Parking vlak aan het verblijf, ontbijtzaal in apart gebouw maar nog altijd dichtbij. Koffie/thee zet faciliteiten (mét melkjes) op de kamer. Airco.

Motel vibe. Kamer lag aan de achterkant van het gebouw , weinig lichtinval. Sterke urine geur in de badkamer. Voor 1 nacht was dit goed maar langer zou ik er niet willen verblijven. Ontbijtbuffet was basic.

Le petit déjeuner continental etait convenable, un poile cher , pour avoir déjà vue d'autre petit dej continental malgré que c'est un hôtel dit 3***) personnel agréable .

Pour un 3*** , c'est dit hotel mais plus tôt motel, pas de room service, entré uniquement par l'extérieur, trou dans le carrelage de la salle de bain, (pas tres hygiénique) gel douche qui fait shampoing déplorable pour un 3 étoile, heureuse que j'avais pas oublié le mien, lit pas confort , bruit casi toute la nuit (de samedi a dimanche) car entouré de boîte ou bar de nuit) , étant au RDCh j'ai entendu la personne du dessus tiré la chasse d'eau, et a 6h du matin , j'ai entendu les premier départ sur tout ceux qui avait des valises a roulette
