Blugreen Stegna Suites and Apartments

We had a thoroughly enjoyable 10 night stay here. The property is a little off the beaten track, which can be an advantage or slight disadvantage depending on your preference. But having said that it is very relaxing, quiet and only about a 5 minute walk to the coast road where there is a good choice of pleasant bars and restaurants overlooking the sea.We were met on arrival by the host, Sarantis who is such a nice guy and incredibly helpful and hospitable. There was a selection of essential food, drink and snack items in the fridge and on the dining table. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom place and much more so than typical similar type properties we have stayed at in Greece or the isands. There are two balconies to sit on, one leading off the bedroom and one off the main living area. There is also a roof terrace from which there are lovely views of the surrounding area. We used it frequently. As well as the en-suite there is a second shower room/toilet plus a another bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. There is a two ring stove top in the kitchen area, ok for basic cooking, saucepans, a sandwich maker/toaster, plus plenty of plates, cups, mugs and cutlery etc. The bedroom is quite a bit bigger than average and has a large and very comfortable bed. A little more about Sarantis. The day before we returned home, Rhodes experienced the worst storm it has had for decades. So much so that 4 cars which must have been parked near the sea shore actually ended up in the sea. Tragically one man lost his life. We stayed in the apt that day and had no idea of the extent of the carnage taking place and the fact that we were actually inaccessible. Sarantis brought us food cooked with vegetables from his garden plus wine and water. The following morning he arranged for our taxi to meet us at a place we could reach on foot and helped us with our luggage. Without his help we would likely have missed our flight.

A minor thing, the tv was a bit unpredictable but didn't worry us as the wifi was very good and YouTube is more interesting than BBC News or Sky News!

Erg schoon, prachtige rustige plek, alles erop en eraan, overal aan gedacht en voorzien, ook al een heerlijk ontbijt in de koelkast! Mooi en ruim appartement met 2 balkons en 2 badkamers en ook nog een apart groot bubbelbad! Erg aardige en behulpzame host. Gewoon fantastisch!!

Die Kommunikation für den Check-in verlief sehr gut und schnell. Der Vermieter war auch während des Aufenthaltes immer erreichbar. Das Apartment hat eine hervorragende Lage, sehr Ruhig und trotzdem kommt man in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß zum Strand und zu Restaurants. Es ist sehr geräumig und gemütlich, bietet zwei Balkone mit Ost- und Westausrichtung. Im Westen blickt man wunderschön ins Grüne mit Orangen- und Olivenbäumen. Die Ausstattung mit Küchenutensilien ist gut, für Frühstück oder Nudeln reicht es. Uns hat nichts gefehlt. Wir hatten tolle zwei Wochen in Stegna, vielen Dank!

Die Dachterrasse könnte mal wieder neu gestaltet werden, damit sie etwas gemütlicher wirkt. Das ist jetzt aber meckern auf hohem Niveau.

Room was left open and keys on table - although slight comnfusio on where we could park (but no big issue)

main issue was lack of hot water every morning, cold showers are not what you want on holiday and apartment was a little way back from main street and included a walk down a dark passage way generally covered in duck mess.
