For One night stay it is ok.

The rooms were quite old. The floors needed refurbishment. Quite annoying with screechy noise.

A little gem of a place to stay

We thought that this was a little gem! A wonderfully historic building in a beautiful setting. But the best bit was the staff - from the lovely warm welcome to the most amazing team in the restaurant everyone went above & beyond in order to make our stay special. The most helpful lady in the restaurant even suggested that we are outside as it was such a warm & sunny evening, and she went to a lot of extra trouble in order to set our table outside & bring all the food out. Plus the dinner itself was superbly well cooked, fresh, tasty & delightfully presented. The room itself is typical of an older style conference facility but it was clean, comfy & had a lovely large bathroom. And there is free hot drinks served on every landing. We really thought that this was one of the most interesting & rewarding places that we had stayed in our 12 week tour of Northern Europe. And it was truly exceptional value for money. A real find - you will not be disappointed!

beautiful property and great location

The bed was comfortable enough for a night, but felt a bit cheap (quite bouncy and soft). Moreover, the door of the shower couldn’t open fully as the toilet blocked the door. Hence, I had to “squeeze” myself into the shower cabin. Which for me was fine, although annoying. Breakfast was okay, not special, but they started cleaning it up too quickly (15 minutes before end)

Fijn verblijf op een mooie locatie

Prachtige locatie Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een kort verblijf is aanwezig!

Mijn kamer lag in een donkere gang, die leek ergens in een verlaten stuk van het gebouw te liggen. Als je de gang op liep bleef het donker. Als je de kamer uit liep, dan ging het licht wel meteen aan.

un cadre envoûtant

Le cadre est comme sur les photos.. c'est "Harry-potterisant.".. plein de charme et d'histoire (que l'on peut découvrir sur place) Dans notre chambre, il y avait une baignoire SI GRAAAAANDE!! la salle de bain était de la taille de la chambre.. les chambres ne sont pas très grandes mais confortables et très propres.. la vue est belle quel que soit le côté. Le personnel est adorable et efficace. Il y a des machines à café (pas des distributeurs, nan des vraies belles machines à bon café) un peu partout dans les couloirs gratos :) Ce qu'on a particulièrement apprécié c'est la salle du petit déjeuner, salle haute de plafond, avec des clefs de voûte .. nan oui, bon c'est vraiment beau :)

on entendait les bruits au dessus (il y a une salle de réception/conférence que sais-je).. nous avons eu un peu peur mais en réalité le soir tout est devenu parfaitement calme.

De locatie van Hotel Bovendonk is zonder twijfel het sterkste punt. Mooie ligging in een prachtig voormalig klooster met veel karakter en uitstraling.

Het verblijf in Hotel Bovendonk was op zich prima, maar kende helaas ook minpunten. Het ontbijt was matig en bood weinig variatie. Daarnaast was de kamer zeer gehorig, waardoor geluiden van andere gasten en de gang duidelijk hoorbaar waren. Dit ging ten koste van het comfort.

Bijzonder onderkomen in groots monumentaal gebouw

Het gebouw is indrukwekkend en beviel het meest. Uiterst sfeervolle omgeving. Dit zou nog verbeterd kunnen worden door een wat meer vrolijke aankleding zoals een mooie bos bloemen hier en daar. De gangen en vetrekken zijn prachtig maar hebben ook nog enigszins die sinestere atmosfeer die niet altijd plezierig is.

Kamers zijn prima, bedden comfortabel. Buitenkant van dit mooie momument heeft wel zichtbaar onderhoud nodig. Ook een mengkraan in de douche is geen overbodige luxe.

Locatie en gebouw is mega mooi maar ….

De badkamer is echt prijsklasse onwaardig. Kleine douchekop met weinig druk en kleine straal water. Afwerking van zowel slaapkamer als badkamer zeer middelmatig. Bed en verduisterende gordijnen prima verder. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Gang zeer luidruchtig. Ben normaal niet van het klagen maar verblijf viel gewoon tegen.

Prachtig gebouw maar zeer sobere en sfeerloze kamers

Het gebouw is prachtig en heeft veel potentie, het personeel is ook aardig en behulpzaam

De kamers laten echt te wensen over, je waant je in een internaat uit 1910. Systeem plafond, sfeerloze en sobere kamer en zeer verouderde badkamer. Met een beetje aandacht van een goede stylist zou deze locatie de potentie hebben om de meest gewilde trouw-en eventlocatie van nederland te worden.

Doccia con maniglia che funzionava molto male, non girava e rimaneva bloccata. Asciugacapelli non presente in stanza, ma a richiesta alla reception.
