Location, staff and eco-sustainability approach

Location, cleanliness & simple tasteful decor.
Check-in counter & elevator were depressing. Room had angled roof, while charming I’m too tall to move around comfortably.

The location for the Christmas markets is exceptional, you are literally at the heart of everything! Breakfast as an addition is fantastic, particularly as we weren’t aware it was part of the room booking. All the staff we came across were kind and helpful (special thanks to the blond lady at breakfast who was so lovely to our children despite the fact that neither we nor they speak French!)
NA - excellent for price

Great location, atmospheric property, was upgraded to superior room, comfortable bed, useful seating area downstairs
Our bathroom smelled strongly of drains, which also made the room smell. Ended up covering the drain with bathmat and tissue box.

The location is superb. the hotel is close to everything and the Christmas market is within walking distance. Hotel staff is very friendly. There was free flow glühwein
The bathroom is a little bit smelling, but that's always the issue with this type of historical buildings

We had a very spacious room for our family of four. Which was great. Clean. Excellent breakfasts. Loved it all. Magnificent location re train station and attractions.
If we had to be picky - a cramped shower. But a great place to stay.

Centrally located, old building, smells like the past
Was extremely tight, very small and smelled and was humid but worked well enough

A beautiful old Alsatian building renovated into a comfortable modern hotel. The combination is a joy.

The hotel is near the station and reasonably easy to find. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Our bed was exceptionally comfortable and the room was a good size. Generally very good VFM!
Not much but the artwork in the breakfast room was grim!

The location is the best feature of the hotel, in the city centre yet very quiet. The beds were very good. The staff at check-in are very helpful. You can ask for a discount for the parking.
They mention on the website that the photos you see may be different from the room you get but be prepared they might be very different! We had a superior room but it was not really worth 4 stars. Breakfast is ok but you have to ask and sometimes insist for refills of bacon, eggs and fruit.

Good breakfast
We thought we had booked a queen size bed but the deluxe queen room only had a double bed. We queried this but were told the description was only a guide! We booked late so the room wasn't particularly cheap.

The location was very good, close to the station and walking distance to all of Strasbourg.
The room were allocated had a deep bath, we needed a walk in shower. We were immediately given another room, much larger and very comfortable.
The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful.
The breakfast was a little bit disappointing.

The best location. All main attractions are walking distance and there are lots of restaurants beside the hotel. Staff are really nice and helpful with our requests.

First of all, the staff members were real pro, funny, smiling, helpful and respectful, they even offered us to choose the room we wanted ! When we arrive at our windows, we saw we were surrounded by restaurants and bars, we were at the first floor and we thought the night would be noisy, but guess what ? We didn't hear anything, the windows were "sound proof" ! The room itself was typical with beautiful architecture, wood style ! Breakfast was amazing, food from everywhere and for everybody, kitchen ladies so nice, charming and polite ! The hotel is in front of everything, easily reachable if you arrive from the train station (just walk 10 minutes) and whatever you need, just ask at the reception, they have the solution !
We had the possibility to stay only 1 night, we have choosen this hotel because it was geographically in the middle of our trip, but next time we need to make a stop over in this area of the world, we will for sure go to this one !

Amazing location - cafes, shops, petit-france…. Really friendly staff. Great rooms - very large beds, bathrooms and comfy beds. Excellent breakfast. Free coffee (and even cake) and water in the lobby all day.

This hotel is very well localed. It is close to the train station and to the petite france, you can easily walk around to explore. There are many close options for eating out and sightseeing.
The hotel offers a "gouter" from 3 to 7 pm. During gouter hours, you can get yourself some cake, fresh lemonade and coffee. It's the first time I've seen a hotel doing such a thing, and I thought it was very thoughtful.
The staff was very nice, and they even allowed us to use extra towels to take to the public bath of the city.
They had a water dispenser machine in the hall that offered cold and sparkling water. Very nice if you go in the summer!
If you are booking a hotel for a quick stop, this is probably fine. If you are booking a hotel to stay longer and enjoy, keep looking! We stayed 4 nights and we were very disappointed with our room, considering this is a 4 stars hotel. We booked the "Standard double room". The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the room was tiny. The bedframe was made of wood, so considering the pillows were non-existent, it was not very pleasant to sit in the bed and watch tv. Both me and my partner left with a backpain.
The door to the bathroom in our room was made of this very nice piece of wood that looked like a closet door, but it was very difficult to close, and it made a lot of noise. After the second day we were honestly over it, and we just wished we had a functional bathroom door.
The cleaning service was chaotic, and we had no idea when they would do their round. In the morning, sometimes we would see them close to our room, and then we would leave so that they could clean. Then, more than 1h later we would come back and they would still be on the same place. Then, for two days in a row they simply forgot us, and we had to go to the reception on the second day to ask for the service.
In the next day, they did pass, but they forgot to refill the toilet paper. This can appear to be a very small problem, but because we never knew at which time they would pass, we were always stressed to go back to our room and then lose the opportunity to have it cleaned. Sometimes we would simply linger in the hotel hall instead of going up to maximize our chances to have our room cleaned, which honestly, is simply ridiculous.

Room was smelling mouldy, view was mostly to a wall (no surprise that at short notice and for one night one gets such a room)

Lovely, unique old building with magnificent wooden staircase. This place has a soul. The location is great, just in the middle of old town, with plenty of restaurants and nice shops around. I also loved their environmental policy - great plus for me.
The room was really miniscule. It was basically a bed.

Friendly staff, good location.
The bathroom looks very different than what they showed on the website. We paid a little more for the room thinking to have a bigger bathroom, but the bathroom was the small like standard room.the shower door is broken and there was no hot water from the sink.
