The staff were a mixed bag, when we arrived it was nice to be guided into a single parking bay for two motorbikes, you’d be surprised how often hotels try to insist you have two bays when they were both fit in one bay.
The staff were also a problem. Imagine paying the equivalent of €650 for a meal and wine and being poured two glasses that were suspiciously small and politely mentioning to the young lady that these were not as full as the first glass. Mentioning to her that she should use the measuring system that the first person used. She declined to do this on the second pour and when I saw the glass I warmly asked her to get the measuring jug and to put the wine in there. It was short, by more than an amount that was acceptable but still she argued that the first pour from the other person had been overfilled. This gaslighting and complete unacceptance that she had made a mistake and had cheated us on expensive wine meant this experience, although the food was excellent, was ruined. That’s a lot of money to pay to leave a restaurant feeling agitated. I’m no psychologist but the interaction suggests there is an issue.
