Miserable

Stay at Ibis Frechen was a complete disaster. When we checked in the hotel our room air-conditioning was not working. The staff said that they no family room as an alternative and offered us two single rooms, besides being a family we took those single rooms as we had no other option. One of the room’s bathroom was dirty and was not cleaned. In a few hours time, one of the room’s air conditioning started dripping water , the management again replied the same that we have no other room and you will have to manage like this. The next morning the other room’s air-conditioning also started dripping water.Thank God that our stay was only limited to a single day and we left this miserable place.

Basic hotel, great budget option for some

Only 20 minutes drive to centre. EV Car charging station is around the corner (plenty fast chargers). Quiet place.

I didn’t like that they charged for the car park. It was our second visit and got the same terrible dark room with no views at all. One of the stuff member (chubby dark coloured hair) was absolutely rude and she even shouted at us … this was our last visit there.

No hot water in the room . I tried to take a shower in the morning. Air conditioning is not working. They started charging for the car park . Breakfast used to be good. Now it's more expensive and less choices. Unacceptable.

Perfect to stay if you are a few days in Koln. You can always park and metro is not too far away. There are also several fast food restaurants close by. Staff is very friendly and helpfull!

I had a nice stay here. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. It met my needs and expectations. The staff was friendly. Standard nice hotel room.

It's not really well connected to public transport. The neighborhood is a commercial shopping area.

Rooms are very tiny than IBIS Budget The bathroom is not very well maintained While Booking it shows a twin bed, but actually it has only a queen bed which is not fit for 3. The Staff mentioned about beds after the booking before we arrived but I don't have the option to change due to the journey to the hotel being started.

Great hotel to stay at if driving into Cologne, Free Parking & 30 min drive from Phantasialand.

Friendly service at the counter, staff were very pleasant and were very fluent in the English language. Provided us with tips on how to get around into the City, and also advised us in advance best time to avoid going in (i.e. Sundays where all shops would be closed) Nice comfortable room, Free Parking, Good Location to get to some of the main roads via Car. Breakfast was enjoyable as well, offering a combination of cold and hot food. Less than a 30 minute drive from Phantasialand.

Not an issue with the hotel itself, the only difficulty would be the walking distance from the tram station, as it involves taking a short walk on a dirt path from side hotel (which could get muddy in the rain), then walking up the main road and crossing over at OBI, where the station was located behind it. OK for average walkers, but for those with limited mobility, this will be difficult, especially when crossing over the dual carriageway.

not really pleasant, I cannot sleep very well

for me the location is not a problem, actually quite handy. the personeel was friendly.

1. the bed is too small for 2 adults and one 7 year old. there was no other room type. 2. the sound insulation is not good, I can hear next room quite clear. 3. the air conditioning was not working properly 4. I stayed for 2 nights, my room was not been cleaned for the 2nd day
