Great location, friendly and helpful staff. Fantastic hiking trails and dramatic views of the valley and river. Beautiful pool and sitting areas. Excellent wine. Blenders Table was a unique and memorable experience with our friends.
Manor house rooms have smaller double beds and small showers. Limited room for luggage. No private terraces or balconies but room opened out to nice sitting areas. Breakfast did not compare to other 5 star stays we've had around Portugal. Limited choices and quality vs what we expected. Dinner when outside is nice, but dining area not well positioned for views of the valley and river.

Basic food options for dinner. Had to drive to town just for a basic sandwich

If you stay as a guest wine tasting should be free. Did like the chef style cuisine, the food was nothing special.
