One of the best hotels in Namur.:)

Location, room and food at the La carte du roi.

The only weakness, in my view, is the breakfast. The variety and quality of fresh products could be improved, and the breakfast area itself feels quite small. Even with only a few guests, the space becomes crowded very quickly. For such a nice hotel, this aspect really deserves improvement.

Not kids friendly, staff not very friendly. Don’t take the half board very limited choice.

The view from the room. Breakfast was good.

I was offered a free upgrade, but was given a room with a tiny window, advertised as “ river view” Then receptionist kindly changed the room for us but it was a regular town room and not the initial “ free upgrade” I took the half board , this was a mistake the food options very limited. We waited around 30min for food to arrive. My son was very tired and hungry. Is not kids friendly.

Nice hotel to relax and enjoy Namur

Very good hotel, with a nice spa facility where could relax in the sauna and hot tub. The breakfast is pretty good too. And the room had everything I needed for a short stay

Lovely hotel and staff, but parking is the deal breaker.

Clean and staff were friendly and efficient. Great view over the water. The rooms were comfortable and well designed.

Parking Experience: During my stay, which coincided with a busy poker tournament over a long weekend, parking proved to be extremely challenging. Although I was informed that I could park in front of the hotel for free, available spots were exceptionally rare. The back of the hotel had parking with a maximum duration of three hours but not surprising non was ever free. Parking at the Casino was available at a discounted rate of €15 per day, but finding an open spot there was equally difficult. Arriving between 15:00 and 21:00 often meant circling for at least 30 minutes to find parking, rarely in the designated areas suggested. A few times I parked illegally and returned after 23:00 to find a spot closer to the hotel. Upon addressing these concerns, I was advised to park at the Confluence Parking, located 800 meters from the hotel. While I understand that the poker tournament contributed to the parking situation, I believe that a hotel of this caliber should provide more accommodating solutions for its paying guests. Looking through the other commentary this is not a limited problem. While the hotel itself was nice, I would probably not return due to this. I found myself avoiding using my car, which was supposed to supply me flexibility in exploring the region, just so I didn’t lose parking spot I had.

Lovely rooms on the river

Lovely staff and the terrace restaurant is nice. Corner room was well equipped and modern with great views. Very quiet tested by large wedding party on the other side of the river! Parking is not too expensive and has large spaces. Stairs to lower level only. Breakfast was great on the terrace overlooking the river (ignore the road below!)

Food in restaurant lacked flair. Staff hanging around and smoking outside the front entrance is a rare sight in a good hotel. They have a lot as it is a casino complex. It is not in the centre but accessible on a decent day (we had 33 degrees and it seemed had too far to walk really. )

Could have been more generous especially in upgrade room with toiletries (no cotton buds etc or dressing gowns ) and also mean on the tea and coffee supplies.

A nice stay!

We were checked in by a friendly member of staff and given a room with a lovely view across the river! It was all clean and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was very good! There was a huge range of items to chose from, cold meats etc. to cooked breakfast. Some of the fruit was a little over-ripe but apart from that it was one of the nicest breakfasts we'd had over our two weeks of travel around Europe! All with a nice view over the river too!

We didn't realise the hotel was attached to a Casino and part of the same resort.

Poor cleaning of room and bathroom despite asking hotel managers twice to rectify situation. Cold room service meals. Suboptimal breakfast selection. Disinterested front desk staff. Incorrect invoicing on check-out.

Perfect weekend stay for couples

Friendly staff and great facilities. The restaurant was good and accommodating. Casino staff were very friendly as well.

Minor things but the Hotel’s cleanliness in the room and bath soap in the shower and at the sink were empty.

Great and relaxing stay all in all

The location is excellent. really close to all the tourist sites in Namur. The public spa is really great. my husband and I got very lucky that there were not a lot of people when we use it. Also the fitness was amazing with several options to do your workout. the room is very cozy, we booked the river view room. and during our last night, the fireworks show was very visible from our room. the casino is also an added value.

The wellness and fitness area does not have a staff you can ask. so most of the time you have to go to reception of you have questions. with this fact, the sauna and the steam room were not very hot, it is probably because there is noone to call in case of emergency. the river view room, though it didnt bother us, but its only a small window with a window bank you can sit on to look outside. so do not expect to have a full window for the view.

Very nice and comfortable room

The room is very modern, big and comfortable with a very big and clean bathroom. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, we had two very good nights of sleep. The location is good, you can walk up the hill to the citadel in about 10 to 15 minutes. The centre is also about a 10 mins walk. There is parking on the street which is free on the weekends and a paid parking dedicated to the hotel and casino guests. If you are a guest you get 50% off parking.

The shower is not delimited in any way so water gets everywhere in the bathroom but it was a room suitable for disabled so perhaps that is the reason. Not sure if all the rooms have the same, we got this by default. Just make sure you put the feet towel at the entrance of the bathroom instead of in the bathroom, otherwise it gets soaked.
