Eden Hotel by Maistra Collection

A wonderful stay! There was 3 of us staying in one room and thankfully, we were given one of the more spacious rooms which meant we never once felt cramped when sleeping/ getting ready. The facilities itself was great, especially the wellness and gym space. I personally always prefer hotels that have excellent gym facilities and Eden certainly provided - sadly, the aircon was broken in wellness and gym area during our stay but that didn't stop me from using the facilities every day. The breakfast was fine, a good selection and the beach area was large enough to comfortably get a sun lounger. We never once felt that it was overcrowded despite it being August. A comfortable 15 mins walk to Old Town which was great. Highly recommend.

I had an uncomfortable experience at the spa. Before visiting, I specifically asked at reception about the swimsuit policy, but I was not informed that the spa is fully nude. This was also not mentioned anywhere in the hotel's information. It was an unpleasant surprise when I entered the spa, and I would not have visited had I known in advance. The staff should clearly inform guests about the spa's clothing policy, especially when asked directly. Unfortunately, when I raised this concern with the staff, they were not very customer-oriented, which made the experience even more disappointing.

• Rooms not sound-isolated: every night you hear trucks loading/unloading at 2–3 AM and again at 6 AM • Walls constantly creak, water runs, and scratching/rustling sounds disturb sleep • Beach and pool areas extremely overcrowded, impossible to find a free sunbed • Local people also allowed on the hotel beach, making it even busier • Sea water gets dirty quickly after 11:00 – only clean 200–300m away • Bathroom design poor: at night lights up the whole room and makes loud sounds • Limited outdoor seating for breakfast/dinner (mostly inside) • Dinner disappointing: repetitive, poor quality, mostly oily/saucy food with almost no healthy options • Guests stand in long queues at dinner like in a canteen • Waiters very slow – up to 15 minutes wait for just a bottle of water • Welcome water bottle only once, not daily • No small toiletries like cotton buds or sponges • Reception/front desk staff (women) not very friendly
