It is a youth hostel as a youth hostel should be. The people are young, open and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed!
The heating in our room was very noisy. It is an old building!

The staff is very friendly
My neighbours were real pigs. They drank beer at night, snored, farted, and these are adult men, not little girls. I couldn’t sleep because of the terrible smell, I will remember this night forever. Unfortunately in a bad way. But place is nice

Location of the property was perfect. A very quiet area near the beach. The 2 people that checked us in were so nice and friendly!!!
The shower/toilets on our floor could use some TLC. The one shower had no light as it was an automatic light but it never automatically came on. The other shower had a working light but a beeping noise that continued every 2 mins over and over and over.

The location, the staff
Cleanliness, saw the cleaning staff not do a good enough cleaning of the room. The bathrooms were not well ventilated, the hot water in the shower area of on of the showers was not working with no warning.
The breakfast was barely passable. The milk from one breakfast to the next is not preserved well or cooled is left out in a thermos (spoilt my tea).

Great and open-minded party hostel. Located near the beach. The interior as well as the dunes themselves created a kon-tiki atmosphere.
Only thing I would have hoped for would've been lockers.

Clean ,neat bedrooms , common areas. Even fan / ventilator was provided
It was mentioned as double bed but twin beds were provided , somehow we got adjusted to it
Otherwise no complaints

It was a warm welcome environment in a small beach town
Bathroom was one of the smallest I have ever seen in a hostel, it was clean just hard to share given the space

Really cosy and colourful bar and common room. There was karaoke one night which was super fun! And the staff were lovely!
Loud music until late (like 1/2 am) which could be heard in the dormitory downstairs. There was also water running in the pipes all night in the room, and you could clearly hear people talking outside the window.

There was very little to be liked...the place is dirty, stinking of farts and poo costantly.
Everything, they party till 3 am...the place is filled with drugs and losers, imbecils with no future and still I dont understand how the place can have such a hugh rating.

It is good to have to enjoy the rest of the day. It was cool outside and the proper British tea and milk was most needful. The as well as with some cereal was fine. The staff were excellent and most helpful especially Leroy. Thank you.

The hostel is fart smelling, loser den hole. They do all sorts of drugs and just drink the whole time which is annoying. You will be hearing them partying till 02.00 in the morning. Great if you want to sleep.

Incredible hostel, we would not have wanted to stay anywhere else. The staff are lovely and friendly, and we really enjoyed the facilities offered (kitchen, bar, seating, back deck) and the evening activities offered which were different every night. There were leaflets and information boards with things to do around Noordwijk and the Netherlands. We met some cool people who we will remember for a long time.
Our room was spotless and the beds were very comfortable too. We had such a great experience in the Netherlands and this hostel helped make it even better.

The staff in this hostel was very friendly and everything was clean. The Hostel is located very near to the beach. We liked the atmosphere of this hostel a lot and we would come back :)
The Room with 10 other people was a bit too much for us. So next time we would book a room with less beds.

I really liked the terrace, nothing more.
This is not a place to rest, the people who work there are not friendly and if you do not speak English well you are a sign of ridicule, you can also see their hostel rules, anarchy!!! This is a place of liberating people, that is not my case, if you are looking for fun with people from all walks of life, then go there. I have been working here in the Netherlands for 3 years and I have never been treated so badly. This is charging you double, the boss said... I do not recommend to anybody

Connectivity with the beach.
very small stairs going down the basement dorms. super small beds as without railing on the sides.

The Hostel is unique. Everybody of the staff was very friendly, the bar area was like a living room and all the other people there were very nice. It felt like at home and it would be a pleasure to come again. I never saw a place as asome as the Flying Pig before.

Easy to get to with public transport. Great and friendly staff that are very helpful. Provided activities and recommendations

The room was pretty spacious and the bed was comfortable enough. Super close to the beach which was amazing and good for watching the gorgeous sunset each night! There was also a good running/walking/cycling trail nearby which was in good condition.
The room was under the bar so it could be pretty noisy some nights but they provided free earplugs which worked a treat. The room would get really hot some nights which could be pretty uncomfortable (this was in June). Also, I was expecting a more social hostel and they advertise different activities so Saturday was meant to be drinking games but when I went up there, there was nothing going on. I know the social aspect is based on the crowd at the time, but I was surprised the staff were not running the activities they were advertising.

Nice people good location
It was expensive when I booked the first time (50 euro for a bed in a room with 5 other people)

Awesome location, amazing staff that really go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible, good breakfast, clean, good kitchen
The key-cards aren't the most reliable but staff members will gladly help you so it wasn't a real problem 🙂

Staff was super nice. Kitchen and pool are nice too. Location was perfect.
Everything was clean.
Bed was wobbly, everytime guy sleeping on the lower level was moving, whole bed was moving too... Also would be nice to have a shelf on upper bed so the personal items dont fall down... And maybe some curtains to get a bit of privacy?
And why put those rules with the age if there was a woman traveling with a kid anyway 😅

good location close to the beach and supermarket.
The place was quiet (during the week) which is what I wanted however I was in a room with one other girl and when she left the filled the room with males (I’m 22 they were all above 35). This is fine I was in a mixed room (no option for female only) but know the place was quiet and the fact that there could have been a potential room to place these men annoyed me. Also if there were curtains I would have had no issue with this room. I highly recommend getting curtains so that your customers can feel more comfortable at night in mixed rooms.

The staff were really friendly and helpful, location was amazing - so close to the beach and the bus stop was 2 mins away which was so convenient. The rooms were nice enough for a hostel but super clean which made them that much better.
The beds were not that comfortable but it's a hostel so they weren't awful either.
