The Montrose Barn House is a picturesque, two story residence with everything you will need for a lovely stay
Sleeping up to 4 adults (more children can stay) it comprises large open plan lounge, spacious kitchen, 10 seat dining area, fireplace, double bath tub in bedroom, 2 queen size
The Barn House is a full house complete with everything you may need.
Children can be accommodated at no extra cost. Single trundle beds or cots are available to be included upon request.
The acre size property has 2 barn houses snuggly nestled at the rear of Hahndorf’s Fine Chocolates in Montrose.
A perfect location to base yourself if you are wanting a quiet time away close to both the Yarra Ranges and the Yarra Valley.
With a host of restaurants within walking distance of your residence the Barn House gives you the option to either venture out locally for dinner or stay in and relax.
The house is fully self-contained giving privacy with it's own adjoining courtyards for you to retreat to.
Having a chocolate shop on the ache property as well means the additional convenience of being able to simply walk out your door and down the path to enjoy all the chocolate shop has to offer.
The house comprises 4 main areas,
1. entrance hall
2. Large Open plan living/dining/kitchen with open gas real flame fire place
3. Upstairs Loft Bedroom with bathtub in the room and an adjoin en-suite
4. Private Courtyard complete with wood open fireplace and BBQ
The large open plan living area is complete with everything a country house would be expected to have.
Large full kitchen, bench seats onto large preparation bench, a second fireplace (gas real flame) surrounded by 2 high back bound chairs, a large 10 seat dining table, large screen television and 2 huge couches to relax on. it also has a queen size bed
Upstairs is your private loft style bedroom complete with your own bedroom bathtub for 2. Featuring a lovely queen size bed, the loft room has its own private en-suite and looks onto a nice bush setting.

Peters bed and breakfast stay is warm and inviting, situated behind the chocolate coffee shop which is exquisite, a brisk walk away from local reserve and shops. The rooms are tastefully renovated with wonderful linens and a well-appointed private bath. Peter was very accommodating and lovely, this was our second time here and it is by far one of the best places we have stayed at. Thanks again Peter for the wonderful experience, we hope to come back again soon =]

It is often difficult to find a place to stay at the Yarra Valley that was affordable to our budget, made us extremely comfortable and very spacious. I almost wanted to gate-keep this accommodation but I could not help myself but to recommend this place as one of the most ideal places to stay for your Yarra Valley weekend.
Our host,Peter, greeted us with a warm welcome upon our arrival and showed us around. The Barn House is surprisingly much bigger than what the photos show. It was the biggest place we've ever stayed at. With a beautiful fireplace, two-split systems in each area, full kitchen (which was very important to us) and a lovely spa bath. I didn't think I'd have to say this but all appliances at the accommodation were actually working and we had no issues with any of them during our weekend.Two fire-pits and two court-yards, one shared with another place and its own. The court-yard for the accommodation is big enough for its own beer garden. As it was situated right behind the chocolate cafe, coffee and chocolates were literally a handful of steps away from the front gate. Even though there are customers from the chocolate cafe infront of our place, it did not bother or intrude our stay at all throughout our weekend trip.
We just wanted to say a big thank you to our host Peter who has been the most accommodating to us during our weekend away.
I highly recommend the Barn House for your weekend stay.

We had the loveliest weekend. The house is spacious and cozy at the same time, and Peter and his family are amazing hosts. Will be back!
