Beautiful, intimate property with a charming team and thoughtful attention to details. The villas are spacious and very comfortable and it’s quite magical waking up in a bamboo forest!
The location was perfect for a quiet retreat, especially if you have a car as transport options were limited, though the team did a great job with their shuttle service

Beautiful retreat. Lots of small
attention to detail and added extras. The electric bikes are a must for the woods and temple or to explore. Bamboo grove and yukata to wear names you feel very Japanese. Staff are very attentive and friendly.
AI generated music in dining area. Would like choice of teas not just green tea in the rooms as we're British.

The garden is one of the best in my stay in Japan. Beyond my expectation -- I have been do many Japanese gardens. And there was just one other visitor staying at the hotel so the entire garden was ours. Truly exceptional! Even if you don't stay at the hotel, the garden is worth of visiting. A young trainee was showing his effort to make things better.
Breakfast was horrible -- the worst in hundreds of Japanese hotels I have been to. Maybe because there were not many visitors and only two staff, so all the food were prepared by non-professionals and the food was not of good quality. The location actually is not good, unless you want to have exclusivity. It is not easy to reach there and it does not have anything worth of visiting outside the hotel.
