Bed was very comfy and the staff were very accommodating with my request for flowers and a balloon for my wife's birthday. There was also a fridge in the room which was a bonus

There was no wardrobe space, just some coat hooks on the outside of the bathroom door

Didn't know we could have breakfast wasn't made aware, good location very pleased stay good value for money

Was all fine, apart from tv didn't work in room 7

For a brief work-related stopover for access to the Brighton and Hove Albion stadium, it was cheap and cheerful. Clean room, friendly staff, comfortable bed. Food was good value for fish and chips, and really good chips, well cooked fish and all the bits.

The pub building is big and rather bleak inside, and it has been split up into different sections street-side making it appear slightly derelict. It’s not a venue for a holiday or romantic break, but probably gets that. In the room, the bed is tightly fit in the space, and the blind needs to be lowered because neighbouring properties overlook the room I was in. The shower room has a small vanity sink which is just too small for a bathroom setting - water spills everywhere unless really careful even when shaving. After my shower it took about 15 minutes for the shower base to drain away, and it over spilled as it just didn’t drain away. Great for a cheap work stay- it’s a boozer basically, so what do you expect? Really friendly staff. Good basic pub grub.
