About this cottage rental

Rural lodging of contemporary environment, in a large farm (without activity) typical of the vexin, in the center of the village. Arranged in an old barn, beautiful volumes were preserved. Loft spirit, very luminous. Original architecture.Located at the heart of the natural regional park of the vexin, at 2 km of the house of the park of Théméricourt, at 30 minutes of Giverny, La Roche Guyon, Auvers. Quiet and the countryside close to Paris (50 km). Easy access by A15 Motorway, RN14 and A13 motorway. Possible hiring of weekend and nights on average season.

Not worth its 4.8 star rating. We suspect that many guests are not quite honest because the host, Sandrine, is such a nice person. Kind, bilingual, and helpful. We have long hesitated to write an honest review, but we do feel the need to warn upcoming guests about what to expect. When everything was new, a few decades ago, the converted barn must have been truly amazing. Now, sadly, the place is not kept up. What was good: the bed linens and towels were fresh and clean. The surfaces had been cleaned. What was not good: many cod webs hanging from the high ceilings, mold in the kitchen drawers, the master bathroom had not been scrubbed in the corners, and has an old, moldy shower hose. The furniture is so old that the seats of the dining chairs and sofas sag badly and give no support of comfort. The worst disappointment was the outdoors. The place has direct access to both a private backyard and a private terrace, that have clearly not been maintained for years. There are weeds everywhere. No proper outdoor furniture. The once enthusiastically started planters with herbs and veggies, are terribly overgrown. The large covered patio area that obviously was meant for the renters to use, with a pingpong table and other games is unorganized, dirty, and uninviting. Another warning: the hedge is very overgrown where the driveway gives access to the road. One person needs to stand on the road to give an “all clear” before exiting the property by car. Very dangerous situation.

It was a nice experience for us whole family to spend holiday together. The house has enough space for everyone. The kitchen is well equipped. In the yard there are also table soccer and table tennis, etc. It takes about 50 Min. bei train/subway to Paris. Very convenient, if you come with car and don’t want to spend too much money for expensive car parking in Paris. Here could be a choice. The landlady Sandrine is nice and can speak good English. The tomatoes as a present from her garden taste fantastic. Thank you Sandrine!

We fel in love with this place as soon as we were shown in.Exactly as we had hoped ,a real gem of a place.Sandrine couldn't have been more helpful and the place was thoughtfully laid out to give us all space to do our own thing.Table tennis and fuzeball were an added bonus.

We were a party of four, experienced travellers and villa users. The gite was totally suitable for our requirements, we wanted to visit Versailles and Giverny and found we were ideally situated as planned. The gite gave us the perfect place to relax, enjoy arch others company. Would recommend this gite to adults especially but also suitable for families as there is a green space for games. We stayed in this property for 11 nights in July 2016. The house was very well equiped, very spacious and a great place to holiday in. Set in a small, beautiful, rural village it gave us the peace and quiet of the countryside yet it was also the perfect location for all those Paris attractions!! The owner Sandrine was very pleasant and approachable, answering any questions we had. Large supermarkets, shopping centres and train services into the centre of Paris were only a 10-15 minute drive from the house. We would definitely stay here again!!

We stayed one week with 6 persons in this well-equiped house. The building has a nice design and is equiped with all you need. In less than a hour you are in the centre of Paris. The owner speaks very good English.

Our small group had a perfect weekend at Les Hublots, Avernes--as usual! We come three times a year because everything is just right for us. Sometimes we stay in both cottages, depending on the number of people attending. Sandrine, the proprietor, is so hospitable and personal but professional. The facility is clean, modern, attractive, comfortable, thoroughly equipped, offering us a meeting space in the living room and suitable bedrooms, an open kitchen/dining room where we all cook/eat together, and a quiet countryside. In pleasant weather we eat outside and walk or ride bikes through the town. So relaxing to get away from busy life for a weekend! We continue to love it! Thank you!

Vacances au calme de la campagne, paysages magnifiques de champs et forêts vallonnés, beaucoup de visites à faire aux alentours. Magnifique propriété : gîte d intérieur très moderne et confortable aménagé dans une ferme. Propriétaires accueillants et arrangeants. Les enfants ont également beaucoup apprécié ces deux semaines. Je recommande vivement !

Les deux gîtes sont absolument exceptionnels dans un environnement magnifique ! A 1h de Paris nous sommes en pleine campagne du Vexin avec toutes les commodités alentour, RER, commerces. C'était le lieu PARFAIT pour notre mariage, nous avons pu profiter des superbes jardins et des grands espaces extérieurs et intérieurs. Confort exceptionnel et moderne, architecture magnifique et propriétaires adorables! Tout le monde est tombé sous le charme de ce lieu un peu à part et magique pour nous maintenant! Nous reviendrons un jour, c'est sûr! Merci aux propriétaires de leur accueil et gentillesse, c'est définitivement un plus, s'il y en avait encore besoin!

Superlocatie als uitvalsbasis voor sightseeing: Parijs is hiervandaan goed bereikbaar. Ook vele andere mogelijkheden in de omgeving! Mooi en compleet huis met een heerlijke tuin, heel rustig gelegen. Van alle gemakken voorzien, een aanrader dus!

Our stay was wonderful. Beautiful setting and home. We enjoyed cooking and spending family time with wine and cheese both outside and inside the historic barn renovated to a comfortable home. Le gite fait partie d'un ancien corps de ferme gigantesque, splendide et très accueillant. Sandrine, la propriétaire, est très chaleureuse, disponible, et à l'écoute de ses visiteurs. Nous sommes très satisfaits du gite de 8 personnes que nous avons loué. L'intérieur, entièrement refait dans un style moderne, ne manque vraiment de rien et vous fait sentir comme à la maison : cuisine spacieuse et lumineuse, grand salon (avec Tv, radio et livres de la région) + petit salon intime avec tv, 2 salles de bains (1avec grande baignoire, 1 avec mega douche), 3 belles chambres ensoleillées, espace buanderie, 2 wc . Les enfants ont adoré le grand porche avec les bicyclettes et tables de ping pong. Le gite a son propre jardin avec chaises longues et barbecue. Venant de l'Italie, nous avons découvert avec enchantement le Vexin et ne manquerons pas de retourner dans un an pour les 50 ans de ma soeur qui vit à proximité du joli village de Avernes. A presto Sandrine. Un saluto da Verona. Les Italiens

Nous avons passé une semaine reposante dans ce gîte mêlant le confort du moderne et le charme des "vieilles pierres". Le gîte est vraiment très agréable à vivre, autant à l'intérieur qu'à l'extérieur. L'accueil de la propriétaire ne gâche rien. Discrète mais toujours présente en cas de problème. des sudistes à paname c'est du rarement vu !!! alors quant mais ami de paris m'on invité pour leur mariage je leur est répondu que ce ne serait pas possible.... heuresement j'ai trouvé un juste millieu grace a ce gite qui m'a permis de ne pas etre trop dépaysé tout en étend proche de paris. les propriétaires et les habitents sont tres sympas c'est un lieu pésible ou l'architecture est au top niveau,il y a plein de balade a faire des chateaux a visité,et les 2 gites sont tout confort et l'un d'entre eux donne meme l'impression d'etre sur un bateaux t'en il y a de dénivelé,de hubleau,sol chauffé un vrai bonnheur,un vrai petit cocon d'amoureux,ou pour profité en ami,ou famille...je conseille vivement !!

Très beau gîte. Nous avons passé un week end entre amis de 25 à 30 ans pour y fêter un anniversaire et ce fut parfait. Cuisine idéale pour grand repas, chambres belles et spacieuses. Très bien amménagé avec beaucoup de goût.

Nous avons passé un très bon week-end dans le gîte d'Avernes. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et le gîte, installé dans une vieille ferme magnifique réhabilitée de manière magistrale par un architecte.
