Nette Insel, viel Natur, liebliche Täler mit Weinanbau, überraschend bergig (Berge recht bewaldet). Man kann touristisch interessante Ortschaften erkunden erkunden Vela Luka, Blato und selbstverständlich Korcula (Stadt) - wird dabei aber nicht mit heftigsten Touristenströmen konfrontiert, selbst in Korcula geht es noch - zumindest in den Vormittagsstunden. Zur Versorgung:
In Korcula sehr gut - es gibt zwei neue Lebensmittelmärkte (Konzum und Tommy), beide haben ein gutes Waren-Angebot, sind auch nicht überteuert. Überhaupt ist stimmt das Preis-Leistungsgefüge auf der Insel. Parken in Korcula (über 3,20€ /Std.) und die Fähren kosten
allerdings ihr Geld.
Zum Wandern und Radfahren war es uns Anfang September definitiv zu heiß, Baden im allermeist sauber erscheinenden Wasser war bestens. Die Bademöglichkeiten sind vielfältig - oft kleinere Buchten, gerne etwas entlegen und mach mal etwas schwer zu finden, meist Fels und Kies(el)-Strand. Auch zwei etwas größere Sandstrände bei Lumbarda haben wir besucht - sehr angenehm zum Reinkommen ins Wasser, und trotz ausklingender Hauptsaison nicht so überfüllt, wie befürchtet. - Die Bademöglichkeiten an der Unterkunft haben sich als ungenügend herausgestellt. Fels mit Betonplatte ist angegeben, nicht aber, wie schlecht man da ins Wasser kommt (speziell an diesem Stück Felsstrand). Es ist hier unterwasser sehr schroff und es gibt keine vernünftige Einstiegsmöglichkeit, wir haben nur eine sehr provisorische wackelige Leiter vorgefunden.
Zur Unterkunft; An für sich völlig ausreichend, Größe für eine vierköpfige Familie sehr gut, die Einrichtung macht einen ordentlichen Eindruck, nicht mehr absolut neuwertig, aber alles passt zusammen und wirkt nicht wie ein Sammelsurium irgendwelcher Reste aus Haushaltsauflösungen. Ebenso die Kücheneinrichtung:
Einheitliches Topf- und Pfannenset aus Edelstahl von Silit, Teller, Gläser, Tassen, Schüsseln aus einem einheitlichen Set, mindestens noch 5 Exemplare pro Set vorhanden und gebrauchsfähig, ebenso der Bestecksatz. Allerdings sind die Küchenmesser allesamt stumpf.
Soweit so gut.
Nun zu den Problemchen:
Der versprochene Toster: fehlt. Kaffeemaschine: Keine da (wir hatten zum Glück unsere eigene kleine Kapselmaschine dabei - genügend Kapseln von Zuhause mitbringen - auf der Insel oder auch sonst in Kroatien gibt es sie nirgendwo),
Die Mikrowelle gab es nicht, natürlich auch kein Fön.
Die Waschmaschine war auch nicht da - aber der Vermieter bot uns an, die Maschine die im UG in seiner Wohneinheit steht, mitzubenutzen. Der Vermieter wohnt während der Saison überwiegen in dieser kleinen Wohnung im Haus und ist so bei eventuellen Problemen auch ansprechbar. Man sollte allerdings ein wenig englisch sprechen können.
Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist wirklich so schön wie auf den Bildern, und die grosse Terrasse (ca. 40qm) gehört einem ganz alleine.
Im Prinzip - denn man muß sie mit einer Armee von kleinen Hausameisen teilen. Die können sich auch ganz schnell in der Wohnung befinden - bevorzugtes Ziel der kleinen Tierchen ist da die Küche.
Desweiteren haben wir mit zahlreichen Schnaken uns rumgeärgert und während unserem 11-tägigen Aufenthalt auch 3 Kakerlaken erlegt.
Das Haus hat übrigens eine Sat-Anlage mit der sich auch deutschsprachige empfangen lassen, moderne Technik von T-Kom.
Der Fernseher ist dafür schön klein und noch eine echte "Buckelbildglotze". Es gibt W-LAN, unser Vermieter hatte aber nicht das passende Passwort parat.
Da wir unser eigenes mobiles W-LAN über dabei hatten, war für uns dennoch Internet möglich.

"Magnificent view. Huge terrace. Very friendly host. Just 50 m to the clear blue adriatic sea. In brief: almost perfect (Second aircondition in the sleeping room would be great) We will come back.
