Very comfortable and felt like a home-from-home. Quiet and relaxing location. Pleased to be able to sit out in the sun at the front of the property. Well equipped kitchen, enabling us to cook as we wished.

Nice nest in the countryside, but not far from town and very well located.

Easy to find, very well located, Neighbourhood is rather calm and you can relax easily. The enclosed garden in the back is a must to let your dog get out when the weather's warm. A very nice place.

The only toilet is in the bathroom on the first floor. But that's not a real problem. You only have to consider this if you have some difficulties in climbing stairs. Otherwise, nothing else to report.

Loved the quiet location and view from the cottage. There was plenty of space inside for a family of 3. Hawick was only a short distance away with plenty of shops and restaurants

You definitely need a car here to enjoy the location fully. It's a long way from any public transport. We found the bed a bit uncomfortable

Brilliant dog walking location in beautiful countryside

The property was really clean, perfect enclosed front and back garden for dogs, really close to Denholm which has a couple of great places to eat. Little extras such as tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were appreciated after a long drive

The mattress on the double bed was a little hard but fine for a few nights

Perfectly located, a short pleasant walk from Denholm. The quiet little hamlet is a lovely, ‘get away from it all’ location and the cottage is just a dream of a place to stay.

A cosy and warm cottage in a great location with a lovely garden and great countryside around. Denholm is an attractive village nearby supplying lovely take away food from the restaurant and the pub. The cottage is near Hawick with supermarkets and a great leisure centre.

What a beautiful little cottage in a stunning setting. Walks right on the doorstep and such lovely people next door and in the village. Ye old cross keys pup is welcoming and dog friendly, will definitely be back.

A great place for a break in the Borders

Herb Wood is a quiet,cosy place for a relaxing stay. It is well furnished and fully equipped. The house was spotless and the king size bed extremely comfortable. Heating and hot water were readily available and the super-large bath a great treat after a day exploring by car or on foot. A great place for a break in the Borders.

Lovely cottage in an idyllic location!

The cottage is in an idyllic location, close to the village of Denholm. Plenty of walks from the door and lots of places to explore nearby. Great for dog owners as the cottage has fully enclosed front and rear gardens. The owners were brilliant, great communication. Would recommend!

Superb location and comfy attractive cottage, nicely furnished. We enjoyed our stay and would have liked to stay longer! Good dog walking immediately outside cottage and owner thoughtfully left a towel to dry the hound.

Absolutely nothing not to like (as far as we were concerned), although husband would have liked a shaving mirror in the bathroom.
