Makapu'u Hale is 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, newly decorated with comfortable & charming beach decor with ocean breezes and split A/C units. The home has been recently updated and features large, open concept kitchen and amazing ocean views from the living room area. Our guests enjoy dining island style on the large outdoor deck area with sweeping views of the crystal blue ocean.
When you step outside on your lanai (porch), you’ll discover the enticing ocean breezes & VIEWS of 7 ISLANDS including: Lanai, Molokai, Mañana aka Rabbit Island, Kaohikaipu aka Black Rock Island, Mokulua Islands & Moku Manu Island…! You can see the Hawaiian sunrise every single day of the year … Plan your days at the beach snorkeling, sea shell hunting or just lounging & sunbathing then enjoy a rinse off in your outdoor hot water shower after you're done. We provide you with a washer & drier with laundry soap to keep your beach clothes clean for the next adventure!

The lush yard of tropical delights including swaying coconut trees & tropical flowers, like the native-Hawaiian “half-flower” Naupaka & red ginger, kid- & adult-friendly swings, hot tub, sitting benches & hammocks are for your pleasure! :)

A charcoal BBQ with a complimentary bag of charcoal is provided for all your outdoor cooking needs.

We loved this property and our stay in Hawaii. It is the perfect getaway location with easy access to everything. Kalama O is incredibly helpful and attentive. The property is breathtaking and holds everything you would want from a visit to Hawaii. We will definitely return!

We had an amazing vacation staying here! The house is beautiful and had everything we needed for a great stay. We spent a lot of time in the yard, laying in the hammock and taking in the breathtaking views of the ocean. We spent a few days at the beach and the owner also had everything we needed including chairs, umbrella,cooler, sand toys, and body board! This truly was a dream vacation!

What a great stay! Our family (incl 2 teens) vacationed at the home for 10 days. The photos don't do it justice. You can't really appreciate the location until you are actually there. It's amazing. Truly tropical paradise.
Arrival was easy. Driveway comes up quick, so we drove right past and had to make a u-turn, but after the first time, we knew to anticipate it. Home was clean, well-stocked, as described in the listing. The view from giant picture windows was fantastic. Beds were a little soft for my liking, but my family thought they were just fine. We had everything we needed at the home- beach towels, boogie board, SUP, etc.
My husband and I loved the location, away from the chaos and people of the downtown area. Yet downtown was only 30 minutes away, which my teens really liked. We went downtown to shop and meet up with friends. Even closer to the home was Hawaii Kai and Waimanalo town. We went there to eat and shop for basics. Did DoorDash a couple of times, and it was not a problem.
The beach right outside the home is a combination of sand and rock. You can sit in the water, but I wasn't comfortable going in deeper. Down the beach to the left, a short walk away, is the Magnum PI/Obama beach with sea barrier to create a lagoon-like swimming area. Further down is Waimanalo Beach, but we didn't go that far. The lagoon was wonderful to swim and just stand around in. Not crowded.
I would highly recommend this home and would stay here again. We had a couple of small hiccups, but the owner was super responsive super fast, so the issues were resolved very quickly.
